5 out of 5 stars but really we’re rating this book 1000 + Stars

Colleen Hoover’s books speaks for itself.  Her books have a way of crawling its way to your heart and staying there.  It gives you the “feels” like no other and leaving you to process your thoughts long after you finished her books.  Maybe Someday, will forever be etched in our memories

The first time I read Maybe Someday, I devoured the book and ended up having the worse case of book hangover.  I then convinced my blogmate, Angy to read it with me.  (I didn’t convince her, I actually pushed the book on her.)  Here’s our review.

We love Ridge!  He is gorgeous, talented, loyal, musically inclined, a well rounded hottie who is also quite the prankster.  He is that book boyfriend who you wished lived in reality.

And of course, we love Sydney too!  She’s a sweet, trusting soul who has fallen in love with Ridge and Ridge for her.  Music was their common ground.  We love their friendship.  It was great, honest and full of emotions.  Emotions that were written in each song.  Although, we realize they compliment each other so well, Sydney and Ridge’s relationship for us was like a forbidden love.  We were pulling for them.  We cried with Sydney while she waited on the sideline for her maybe someday.  We wanted to reach out and hug Ridge as he struggled with his decisions.

“How can two people who both have such good intentions end up with feelings, derived from all the goodness, that are so incredibly bad?”

Maybe Someday had some twist and turns and it was hard to predict what would come next.  We literally were taking breaks during certain parts of the book because the angst, let us tell you about the angst.  It had our hearts racing, our chest aching.  We may even cried at some parts and got teary eye during some scenes.  This story was so very well written.

This book also has some of the funniest moments ever!  The pranks, oh my gosh, it was the best!  We wondered what ever happened with the duct tape fish.  (LOL)   We also enjoyed the way the characters communicate with one another.  There was a certain scene with Ridge and a pen.  All we can say is he can write on us anywhere any day.

The secondary characters are great!  There’s not one character that we didn’t like least, we even like Bridgette.  Warren, for us was the ultimate guy best friend.  He is so loyal to Ridge.  Bridgette was a… well, you’ll get to know her but she’s great.  And Maggie… she is a wise, strong individual who lives an independent life and we really admired her for just being her.  Brennan, who is Ridge’s little brother, we love the brotherhood that they share.  We kind of want Colleen to write Brennan’s story.  We’d like to get to know him better.

Another thing that got us swooning over this book besides the characters IS the music.  It is 100% original, the lyrics, the melodies.  It was the perfect blend to this beautiful story.  The collaboration between Colleen and Griffin is pure genius.  We love Griffin Peterson!  He has an amazing voice.  We find him quite the charmer that we deemed him to be our Ridge.   (Angy would like to add that Blia got to meet him and Colleen in person in Portland, OR and said that they were pretty awesome people!)

We didn’t want this book to end at all but all things must end and Colleen did promise that this book will have a happily ever after in which it did.  Ridge Lawson will be added to our top list of book boyfriends.  He is something special to us.  We recommend everyone to read this book.  Colleen Hoover is a favorite author of ours and we look forward all her future books.
