I love every book that Lauren Blakely writes! She is a genius! She can write romantic, funny and erotic stories very well. And this new book of hers, Melt For Him, is amazing. I am IN LOVE with this book!
I love how Becker and Megan’s story started. They didn’t want anything more than one night stand, and it turned out to be the best night of their lives.. The best sex ever. And then everything went wrong. They couldn’t be together, for so many reasons: because of Megan’s brother Travis and because of Becker’s job as firefighter to name a few. But they couldn’t keep away from each other. Their chemistry was undeniable. Their attraction was so evident. But everything happens for a reason. Not being able to be together allowed them to get to know each other. They could talk about anything and nothing, and that’s how their attraction became something more. Something worth it.
Megan is a funny, sexy, talented and strong woman. She struggled with her feelings, she felt wrong about having them; that it was against her rules of life, but she couldn’t resist him. I loved reading how they both were trying so hard to be apart, but they just couldn’t. There is one particular thing about Megan that made her one of the best heroines of any book I’ve read so far: SHE TAKES CONTROL OF HER LIFE! She’s vulnerable, but not weak. She does what she has to do regardless of her feelings, and despite the consequences, she always protect herself.
Becker is so smoking hot! He’s funny, caring, and brave. I loved him since the beginning of the book. He saw a chance with Megan, went for it and took it!! Or took her!! Oh. My. God. He knows how to please a woman. Lucky Megan! *daydreaming*. He has a very good reason to be so closed off from any kind of relationship, when I read what happened to him, I was heart broken for him, but like I said before, everything happens for a reason. He was meant to meet Megan. She was meant to meet Becker. The connection they had was so strong, the only thing they had to do was to figure out how to be together.
I love the secondary characters of the book as well. I loved Travis and his relationship with Megan. Their childhood wasn’t easy but they knew how to get through it. Jamie and Smith were such great friends for Megan and Becker. Even her mom was super cool.
This book was great. It has the perfect amount of drama, a lot of hot scenes, the conversations between them were awesome. The only thing that is missing in this book is the audiobook, but I’m sure Lauren will make it happen soon! *crossing fingers*
