The more the merrier
Erin Easter was now Erin Alderman, because Erin Alderman was dead.
In the second installment of this USA Today bestselling series, follow protagonist Erin, a high school senior in tiny Blackwell, Oklahoma. After a terrible accident leaves two classmates dead, Erin learns that she was switched at birth. Shortly after, she moves into the home of her true parents, Sam and Julianne Alderman, transforming Erin over night from pariah of Blackwell High School, to the only child of one of the most affluent couples in town.
Also being pursued by her childhood crush, Weston Gates, the dream she once had is now reality. But when Erin stumbles upon secrets that gives her the answers she’s been searching for, she also finds a truth she never wanted to know.
5 stars
This is the second novella of Erin’s change of life. This book is as awesome as the first one. Reading how Erin’s life is getting better and better was so great. She’s so strong and mature and she always knows how to handle things. And now that she has two loving parents, Sam and Julianne, she can enjoy the life as a teenager, enjoy her senior year in high school, her boyfriend, Weston, everything. Until she finds out about something really bad that breaks her heart.
I love Erin’s relationship with her parents. They are so understanding and supportive and they want to gain all the lost time. For my opinion, they cross some lines but it was for Erin’s sake. I love how she call them “My Sam” and “My Julianne”.
Weston is a great guy. He tries so hard to protect Erin from everyone who wants to bully her, even though she can protect herself like she has always done. There were moments in the book that i felt disappointed, annoyed about things he did, but at the end, I felt just like Erin.
The only thing I don’t like about this book is that it is too short and I have to wait so much for the next book ;)
Jamie McGuire never disappoints me. She’s an amazing writer, all her books are wonderful, I love every character she creates, they are all wonderful, and the stories are always so real and beautiful.
Jamie McGuire was born in Tulsa, OK. She attended the Northern Oklahoma College, the University of Central Oklahoma, and Autry Technology Center where she graduated with a degree in Radiography.
Her most recent novel, Walking Disaster debuted at #1 on the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestseller lists. She has also written bestselling contemporary romance Beautiful Disaster, and the Providence series.
Jamie now lives in Enid, OK with her three children and husband Jeff, who is a real, live cowboy. They share their 30 acres with six horses, three dogs, and Rooster the cat.
