Grant Carter did everything in his power to convince Harlow Manning that he was a good guy. More than a smooth-talker and someone she could trust. He had to overcome his reputation as a playboy, and his history with Harlow’s half-sister, Nan, a woman with a reputation of her own.
Harlow had taken the chance, falling hard and fast for the guy who thrilled her with his all-consuming desire. After a lifetime of avoiding bad boys like Grant, she had opened herself to the possibilities of love…
But a life-changing secret has torn them apart, and now Grant and Harlow must decide if they have enough fight to make it work – or if the pain of betrayal has permanently destroyed their future.
BOOK REVIEW: 5 STARS
This is a hard review to write for me. I don’t like giving spoilers in my reviews and if I say one little thing, it’ll be a spoiler.
I can say I loved this book. It made me anxious, made me cry like a baby and it also made me fall in love with Grant and Harlow. They are an amazing couple. Their love is so big, so beautiful, I almost made me want to be Harlow to experience it.
Reading this book felt like watching a TV show, like Gossip Girl, or One Tree Hill. With a lot of great characters, great love stories and a huge amount of drama. DRAMA. DRAMA. DRAMA.
Harlow is a sweet girl, like Grant’s pet name for her. She loves without measure. She fights for what and for who she loves. Her capacity of forgiveness was what I liked the most about her. Grant is an amazing man. i loved him from the first moment of this book. I love that he is overprotecting, he wants to take care of Harlow and see her happy.
This i loved in this book:
- The letters
- The messages in the voice mail
- The intensity during sex
- The friendship with the other couples of the Rosemary Beach books.
- The multiple POV
- The end, it was perfect.
AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: 4 STARS
Shayna Thibodeaux and Jack DuPont did a great job in the narrations. Shayna’s talks a little fast, his voice has a high screech sometimes that was a little annoying, but the rest was great. I loved when she was reading the letters, that was my favorite part. Jack has a great voice, deep and smooth, but his female voice was not good at all. He did great voices for other male characters.

When Abbi isn’t locked away in her office typing away she is hauling her kids to and from their many social activities. You could say her second job is the Glines Kids personal chauffeur. It’s a rather illustrious job.
