BOOK REVIEW: 4.5 STARS
I was waiting for this book anxiously! I loved A Week in New York and I couldn’t wait to read what was going to happen in London when Anna and Ethan meet again. I was so pleased with the events, thought I didn’t expect Anna’s reaction when she saw Ethan after trying, for months, to forget about him and that amazing week they spent together in New York.
I fell in love with Ethan while reading the first book and after reading the second book, I’m totally sure he’ll be a book boyfriend I will never forget. He is a man hard to find, even in books, because he is completely honest, he always tells the truth, his feelings and acts by following his heart. I love that he wanted to please Anna completely, always wanting to give her exactly what she wanted and sometimes more. I love how protective he is of her.
I pulled her closer to me. “So am I. You’re gonna have to be patient with me. I’ve told you, I don’t date so I’m not going to get this right all the time. But I don’t play games and I’m not going to start bullshitting you. If I’m with you, I’m with you and that’s where it begins and ends.”
I could learn more about Anna, she is still the lovely, caring, and funny girl she was in the previous book, with addition of her insecurities about relationships in general and her fears about the relationship with Ethan could mean to her life, but thanks to Ethan’s honesty, she could get passed those insecurities and fears and have the best Autumn of her life.
It was like he’d uncorked a bottle of something fizzy and everything just spilled out. “I’m scared this, us, is more than sex. I’m scared that I want this to be more than sex. I’m scared of you leaving and I’m scared of you staying. I’m scared of how I feel about this, you. It’s just complicated and this wasn’t supposed to be complicated. You could hurt me, Ethan. Already, you could really hurt me.”
What I liked and didn’t like about this book was the little amount of angst/drama in the plot. I mean, it’s great that they could find the perfect state of mind and heart for their relationship, but I was expecting a little of drama.
Can’t wait for the third book of the series, New Year in Manhattan. I’m sure Louise will give me a beautiful HEA!

I write sexy, romantic, contemporary novels – the kind I like to read!
Ruined by romantic mini-series of the seventies and eighties, I love all things romantic. There’s not enough of it in real life so I’ll settle for books and films.
I love the rain, the West Wing, London, days when you don’t have to wear make-up, being alone, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
