Rebel and Sophia's story.

The first of a three part series. This novel contains a small snippet which has already been released in the Owned: An Alpha Anthology, however it is followed by a full story installment.

Sophia

Sometimes, you don't mean to become another person. Sometimes the choice is made for you, and pretending is the only thing that keeps you going. When Alexis Romera is taken and her kidnappers find her fake ID in her purse, she must become Sophia in order to keep her family safe. Revealing her real identity to the man she's sold to would be easy enough, but can she trust him? Hell bent on revenging the murder of his uncle, Rebel doesn't seem all that interested in playing things safe.

In fact, nothing about the secretive, dark and brooding MC president seems safe at all.

Rebel

What do you do when the man who raised you is murdered, and the only witness is kidnapped girl who's being sold as a sex slave? You buy her, of course. As president to the most powerful motorcycle club in America, Rebel isn't lacking in power. There are strings the man can pull, and entire criminal organisations and corporate businesses alike would fall to their knees. However, along with such power comes intense interest. The DEA have their eye fixed solely on the MC...and they're just waiting for Rebel to trip up.

Getting Sophia to testify is the only way to bring the Los Oscuros cartel down. The beautiful, dark haired, dark eyed woman is belligerent and uncooperative and unlikely to bend to his will, but Rebel has a few tricks up his sleeve to make her compliant--he'll charm her until she's bending over backwards to please him.

Of course, falling for her might cause a few hiccups along the way...

REBEL (Dead Man’s Ink book 1)

Another PHENOMENAL book by Callie Hart!!! Callie has done it again! I didn’t think I could love another character from her as much as I love Zeth Mayfair (from the Blood & Rose’s series), but Rebel is definitely on his way up to my top favorite book boyfriends list after reading this first installment!

This book was fast paced, full of plot twists and turns, a touch of sexiness thrown in *smirk* (Callie never holds back on the sexiness in her books 😉 ) and was extremely ADDICTIVE! Rebel keeps you guessing at every turn and wondering what is going to happen next! I couldn’t put it down. The storyline was AMAZING! There are so many finer details and characters that have to be remembered while reading.

Rebel jumps right into the craziness! We start off with Alexis witnessing something she is not supposed to see on her walk to the bus stop. As a result, she is kidnapped and thrust into a world that she could’ve never imagined. She is smack dab in the middle of a war between two groups called Los Oscuros and the Widow Makers MC that has been brewing for years and unbeknownst to her, she is the only one that could possibly end it all.

Things like this don’t happen. This is stuff of nightmares and movies, and horror stories young women are told by their elders to keep them safe. It was sure as hell never supposed to happen to me.” -Alexis

Now what she fears most, more than death, is being violated against her will. Unfortunately, Alexis has been kidnapped by Los Oscuros and they deal in human trafficking and she has a pretty face and a nice body…she learns real fast what happens to women with pretty faces and nice bodies.

I’m to be sold. Like a piece of meat, an object, nameless and unimportant, I am going to be sold.” -Alexis

In hopes of protecting her family, she gives her kidnappers a false name “Sophia Letitia Marne”, this way no matter what happens to her, her family will never be hurt by the likes of the men she was kidnapped by.

Rebel, president of the Widow Makers, has always been against anyone that hurts or demeans women, let alone SELLS them. He knows that the woman that was kidnapped by Los Oscuros was witness to something that can help him take down the Los Oscuros, so he decides to buy her from them to get her to testify in a court of law. Sophia (aka Alexis) is now “owned” by the Widow Makers and thrust into yet another strange world.

The worst part of now being bought and paid for by this new guy is that he’s really good looking.” -Sophia

Rebel looks at her as a “means to an end”, he just has to woo her into testifying against Los Oscuros about what she saw before she was taken and then he’ll set her free…he didn’t expect to become intrigued by her.

The fact that she looks like a younger, hotter, curvier Penelope Cruz is making it hard for me to think of her as a means to an end. It’s making me think of her as someone to be pursued, and that is a bad fucking deal. I don’t have time to deal with that. I can’t afford to be thinking about a girl when there are important plans to be made. Vengeance to be plotted out. Information to be gathered.” -Rebel

At the same time Sophia is also finding herself captivated by this mystery of a man. He puts out this “rebellious persona” for everyone to see, but she glimpses this other man, this softer man every now again. He is working his way into her mind and…heart.

There’s a drive inside me to break the code that is this complicated, hard-headed, kind-of-annoying man.” -Sophia

This isn’t just a “girl gets kidnapped, boy saves girl, boy and girl fall in love” kind of a book…there is SO MUCH MORE to it! The plot and events that make up this story are just BRILLANT! I love how Callie Hart’s mind works and how she comes up with her stories! She makes you as a reader completely forget the outside world and makes you only focus on her characters. Just. Brilliant!

I NEED the next installment now!! I think I might need to seek out a support group after reading this and being left hanging…yes, this installment ends on a cliffy! I’m DYING a little on inside while I’m waiting to hear ANY details on the next installment. Please Callie *I’m BEGGING!* PLEASE give me more Rebel and Sophia soon!! I don’t know how much longer I can wait!

I want to say a HUGE thank you to “The Rock Stars of Romance” book blog for allowing “Collector of Book Boyfriends” book blog to be a part of the Rebel blog tour! And last, but definitely not least, THANK YOU to the amazingly talented Callie Hart for bringing the world another book to love! You are a phenomenal author and have easily become one of my top fav authors!

**Sidebar: Rebel is a spinoff of The Blood & Rose’s series by Callie Hart…which I HIGHLY recommend you read! Here is the link for the series on Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/series/121272-blood-roses . You can read The Blood & Rose’s series before and/or after Rebel. Rebel is based before The Blood & Rose’s series and us readers are introduced to Sophia and Rebel in that series as minor characters.

5 Rebellious Stars!
