VIVIAN’S REVIEW

Katy’s ability to build a characters world is remarkable. She develops them as if we, as readers, are living in them. Every detail is finely tuned and described to its entirety. She is flawless in her writing and because of this; I come back time and time again to read her books. She is my drop everything and read her books now author.

ADDICTIVE.

SEXY.

DOWN RIGHT….SINFUL.

Manwhore is EVERYTHING I expected it to be and then some!! I do not know how Katy does it, but time and time again she creates these book boyfriends that I fall in love with whole heartedly and can’t seem to get out of my head or heart! I didn’t think I could love any of her characters more than my gentle lion Remington Tate (from the Real series) and then she created my prince charming Greyson King (from Rogue–Real series #3), then there was the rock God Mackenna (fromRipped– Read series #5), but now…NOW she has gone and outdone herself!! She has designed this complete mystery of a man that EVERYONE wants to call dibs on. Me included! Here that ladies…I call dibs! 😉

From the very beginning of Manwhore, it is apparent that Malcolm Saint is someone that dosen’t want to be known. Yes, he is EVERYWHERE in the social media sites, from twitter to facebook, but do you really know someone just from their social media sites? He even doesn’t want the readers to know him…therein lies the challenge. I found myself, much like Rachel (the main female character) wanting to figure out this elusive man! “Something about his unreadable expression demands that I figure him out.” –Rachel. Everything about the “Manwhore Malcolm Saint” is known, but it’s that “inner Malcolm Saint” that we don’t know. Who is this successful business man? How did he get successful? Why does he portray himself as a player? Is he really a player?

My summary:

Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint is no saint and doesn’t pretend to be one. He exudes power and masculinity in everything he does. He comes off as this untouchable and unknowable man that everyone wants a piece of…whether it is a piece of his wealth or a piece of him. “I’d say people respond to me on four levels and four levels only: they want to pray to me, be me, do me, or kill me.” –Malcolm.

Rachel Livingston is working as a journalist at a magazine company called Edge. The magazine is on its “last leg” and is in dire need of a BIG story to keep them going. After years of waiting, Rachel is finally getting her “story”: write an expose on the elusive Malcolm Saint. She is expected to get as close as possible to Mr.Saint, under the guise of learning about his new internet company Interface, but really she is to learn all about the juicy little tidbits that make up Malcolm Saint: Who is Malcolm Saint? Why does he do things in 4’s? What is with all the women. In doing so, Rachel will potentially have to sacrifice some of her morals to keep her job and keep the company alive. “I’ll do it. He’s my story now.” –Rachel.

As time will tell, Rachel begins to uncover Malcolm’s true nature and see’s the man that the world doesn’t get to see. But in the process, she also lets him “uncover” her as well. “This wasn’t part of my plan. I’m supposed to write an expose about him, not let him expose me.” –Rachel. Rachel is so focused on uncovering “the story that will launch her career”, that she gets lost in it and ends up discovering more about her inner self. She has never been the type of woman to need a man in her life, but she is beginning to realize that Malcolm is easy to want in her life. “From the moment I met him, the air between us has felt different from the way it does when I’m not with him. Thicker, more electric, every glance or smile or word causing ripples in the atmosphere.” –Rachel. Will Rachel be able to expose Malcolm without exposing herself? Or will she become a sinner for the sake of being with a certain Saint?

So let’s be REAL here, Katy’s gone ROGUE like a MANWHORE and RIPPED my heart out, but the pleasure is all MINE. I’m completely unsavable after reading this book. Manwhore was like a hurricane: It came at me with little warning…creating severe heat and immense power; it exposed all my weakness and left me obliterated…left me breathless in its wake.

I had a complete book HANGOVER after this book! So much so, that I had to reread it RIGHT AWAY! I am in dire need ofManwhore +1….like YESTERDAY!

Since the star rating only goes up to 5 stars, that is what I will give it, BUT honestly, I would give it 10++ stars if I could! I FREAKING LOVE KATY EVANS!!

I have to start this review with a MEA CULPA because this is my first book of Katy Evans, even though I’ve got my REAL paperback on my bookshelf but I’m not a huge fan of fighters and Remy is still waiting for me. I’m more into CEO, Suit guys, entrepreneurs and Manwhore!!!! Yes! Manwhore, so when I saw the cover (a HOT one cover) and the name of the book I immediately said to Angy, GIVE IT TO ME!!!

Although I probably am the only woman on earth that haven’t read Katy’s books I have to #DIBS her because now she is on the top of my fave authors. I’m so in love of her writing, the way she tells the story, the way she makes me feel when I’m reading a scene……so in love!!! But I’m here to talk about Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint….. (tons of sighs)

This man got me since the first line he said, it was like I was there staring at him, just WOW love at first sight!!

“He’s a dark individual. Dark as his hair. Dark as sin. Dark as whatever whirls around him. Something magnetic. Unstoppable. Irresistible.”

After that description, let’s go to the story, yes, this is the story Rachel Livingstone has been waiting her whole life, she needs to write an exposé of the hottest entrepreneur Chicago has ever known, that article is supposed to save the magazine she works for and will change her career. But she never imagine that it was Saint who will change her whole life.

She got to know the real Malcolm Saint, not the one everybody knows, and while she was trying to figure who he really is, she started to have feelings for him, he awakes feelings that she never felt before and she has to struggle between her assignment and Malcolm.

“This wasn’t part of my plan. I’m supposed to write an exposé about him, not let him expose ME.”

Malcolm is a Manwhore but behind his public image he is a lonely, caring and loyal man. He believes in trust and loyalty and he wants Rachel.

“I’m yours if you want me Rachel”

5 stars are not enough for this amazing book, I recommend it 300%, and be aware you will fall so hard for Malcolm, he will get under your skin as soon as you start reading.
