First in the new Silver Valley series from the New York Timesbestselling author of the Reapers Motorcycle Club Novels
Fourteen months. For fourteen months, Puck Redhouse sat in a cell and kept his mouth shut, protecting the Silver Bastards MC from their enemies. Then he was free and it was time for his reward—full membership in the club, along with a party to celebrate. That’s when he saw Becca Jones for the first time and set everything in motion. Before the night ended he’d violated his parole and stolen her away from everything she knew.
Five years. It was five years ago that Puck destroyed Becca and saved her all in one night. She’s been terrified of him ever since, but she’s even more terrified of the monsters he still protects her from... But Becca refuses to let fear control her. She’s living her life and moving forward, until she gets a phone call from the past she can't ignore. She has to go back, and there’s only one man she can trust to go with her—the ex-con biker who rescued her once before.
Puck will help her again, but this time it’ll be on his terms. No more lies, no more tears, and no more holding back what he really wants...

4.5 stars
I had to admit that I wasn’t so excited on reading this book, because I’m not that into Bikers, I’ve read two books about them and I don’t like his lifestyle, specially the part that they can have any women they want even if they already have one waiting at home.
It was hard for me to read it at the beginning because I thought this was the same, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was not. This is the first book of the Silver Bastard series, the story between Puck and Becca, and I love their love story.
Puck Redhouse belongs to Silver Bastard MC, he was in prison protecting his club and members, once he was free, his club celebrated him a party where he met Becca.
Becca Jones grew up between clubs and bikers, she knows exactly how their life is, she experienced that kind of live through her mother, and she doesn’t want to make the same mistakes as her mother.
Five years ago, Puck and Becca met, they shared a night that neither of them will ever forget, but under some circumstances, Puck couldnn’t be with her and had to take her away from her stepdad, who belongs to another club. The Silver Bastards protect her and Becca started a new life, far away from her mother’s world.
Puck left her and after five years he decided to come back to her and to be with her, to make his old lady, but that’s exactly what Becca doesn’t want, she wants a normal life, a life away from clubs and bikers, she doesn’t want to become her mother. Their story is complicated, and Puck will struggle with Becca so they can be together.
“Becca Jones might be my property in the eyes of the club, but the reality was that she owned me and there wasn’t a damned thing I could do about it.”
I love how the author tell us the story in both POV Becca and Puck, the plot and character development were amazing. I love the epilogue and I can’t wait to the next book. I highly recommend it. You don’t have to read the previous story (Reaper’s MC) to read this one, I didn’t and I enjoy it, but definitely I’ll try to read more Joanna’s books.
