When Cassie Taylor met Ethan Holt at acting school, sparks flew. She was the good girl actress. He was the bad boy about campus. But one fated casting choice for Romeo and Juliet changed it all. Like the characters they were playing, Cassie and Ethan's romance seemed destined. Until he broke her heart and betrayed her trust. Now the A-list heartthrob is back in her life and turning her world around. One touch at a time.
Cast as romantic leads once again, they're forced to confront raw memories of the heartbreaking lows and pulse-pounding highs of their secret college affair. But they'll also discover that people who rub each other the wrong way often make the best sparks
AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: 5 STARS
Bad Romeo’s audiobook was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.! Andi Arndt did an amazing job with the narration. Her voice fits perfectly to Cassie’s personality, it’s soft, gentle and sexy. Her tone of voice slightly changed between the past and the present narrations, and I totally loved that. Her voice for Ethan was not exactly how I imagined him talking, but the performance was flawless.
My love for this audiobook wasn’t the love-at-first-chapter that I’m used to. In fact, my rating was 4 stars until I listened to the ending. The last 30 minutes of the audio were WOW! The best ending ever! It’s a cliffhanger, but it isnt the angsty kinda cliffhanger that leave you with a broken heart, but the total opposite. I totally LOVED it!
Despite I loved the ending with all my heart, I didn’t like the constant change from the past and the future, but it surely helped to know how their relationship started. I was expecting to read why Ethan left Cassie three years ago, but that didn’t happen in this book – Thank God I am starting Broken Juliet right after I finish writing this review -, and despite they saying they loved each other, I didn’t see love until the very end of the book. For me, their relationship was all physical, it as lust, lust and more lust. Don’t get me wrong, I totally enjoyed the book, the sex scenes are wayyyyy too HOT! Reading the inexperienced (but horny) Cassie Vs. the experienced one (and hornier) was great, because she changed so much, some things for the better and some things not so much. On the other hand there was Ethan, and this was kinda frustrating to me, because I loved him and hated him at the same time. OK now, I love him, like crazy, but when I was listening to this audiobook it was a rollercoaster. He was a badass, bastard, jackass, jerk, idjit –the list can go on and on and on – in the past and a freaking pussy in the present, ugh, frustrating, but I liked his both sides.
I’m starting Broken Juliet right now and I hope the best for both of them, because that crazy love/lust of Cassie and Ethan is going to end up with them, and with me 😉
