With a famous NHL player for a stepbrother, Violet Hall is well acquainted with the playboy reputation of many a hockey star. So of course she isn’t interested in legendary team captain Alex Waters or his pretty, beat-up face and rock-hard six-pack abs. When Alex inadvertently obliterates Violet’s misapprehension regarding the inferior intellect of hockey players, he becomes much more than just a hot body with the face to match.
Suffering from a complete lapse in judgment, Violet discovers just how good Alex is with the hockey stick in his pants. Violet believes her night of orgasmic magic with Alex is just that: one night. But Alex starts to call. And text. And email and send extravagant—and quirky—gifts. Suddenly, he's too difficult to ignore, and nearly impossible not to like.
The problem is, the media portrays Alex as a total player, and Violet doesn’t want to be part of the game.

Claudia’s Book Review: 5 pucked stars
I can’t believe it took me so long to read Helena Hunting’s books, I’m glad I started with Pucked. this must be the most hilarious book I’ve ever read, I can’t stop laughing since the beginning.
I always think that make people laugh is not an easy task but Helena knows perfectly how to do it. This book is a perfect mix of non filter mouth, hilarious situations, sexy, hot scenes and the perfect playfully and wittily converse.
Violet Hall has no filter, she just spills what’s on the tip of her mouth, she is fully aware of hockey player reputation, she knows she has to steer clear of them even though his stepbrother is one of them, until she met Alex Waters, the sexy captain of The Hawks.
I love Violet, I fell for her on the first page, she’s so funny and when she starts talking and…..you won’t believe all the things that came out from her mouth. And Alex, wow he got me since Violet and me (yes me) find out he reads books, come on, gorgeous guy and he loves to read!!! what else we can ask for?? Love their chemistry, he totally got her weird sense of humor and they’re perfect for each other. Secondary characters were amazing too, Buck, Skye, Charlene, were funny as well.
I recommend this book, it’s a definitely MUST READ. It’s funny, fresh with SEXY and hilarious moments, I just became a fan of Helena’s writing and can’t wait to read more books of her.
“Do you have some kind of….disorder? Like elephantiasis of the penis or something?”

Angy’s Book Review: 5 stars
I love every word Helena Hunting writes. She made me fall in love with Hayden & Tanley in Clipped Wings Series, and later she made me fall in love with Ryder & Liese in The Librarian Principle, and of course, she did it again, I’m totally in love with Violet, Alex and The MC! O.M.G. The MC! *giggles* I mean, I ended up as obsessed as Violet was with his… *clears throat* manhood! But come on, who wouldn’t? WHO WOULDN’T?
“Bigger isn’t always better.” The tank on this beast is bottomless.
“Oh?”
It takes a few seconds to clue into the double meaning. Maybe he thinks I’m insulting his manhood. I consider his manhood-and how much I hate the word manhood. In Alex’s case, bigger is awesome. The only drawback is how hard it is to walk the day after said manhood has plundered my womanhood. I need to cut it with the historical romance references.
I love everything about this book. It’s funny, it’s scorching hot, it’s a little bit kinky and it’s also very romantic. Even though I’m not into sports books, Pocked totally did it to me, maybe it’s because there aren’t so much sport scenes, or because it is so perfectly written, but I totally loved it. I even want to watch some match to see if I like hockey *chuckles*, Ok, I wouldn’t watch it for the sport but for the hot players, maybe there is one super hot guy like Alex *drooling*.
Violet was an amazing girl. She was a little weird. She was nerdy, awkward, and crazy funny! I was laughing out loud with everything she did, thought and said from the beginning of the book. Violet had a particular taste in underwear that drove Alex crazy. She was sexy as hell and knew how to keep Alex always ready, but then again, I don’t think Alex would ever have a problem being ready to go *smirk*.
Alex, Oh Alex *sigh*, was this super sexy, super hot, super talented hockey player, who had a reputation to be a player and also to have a very huge… ego *wink*. But he wasn’t what the media was saying he was, well, not all of it. He was sweet, and caring, and so gentleman. He was always asking permission for every step he took with Violet. Also, he was so dominating and possessive. The whole package was sexy as hell.
The dynamics in their relationship was great. Her first move, his stalker tendencies, their insecurities and also how forthright they were to each other. I liked how they handle things to face all the marketing contracts in his career and their families. What I loved the most was how they pleased to each other without giving up what they really were.
Perfect story, perfect couple, perfect romance, perfect everything. Helena Hunting, give me more of these stories and I’ll be forever happy.
