God, how much Ι loved this story….. I just couldn’t put it down! It was so intense and amazing that i could read it again the moment i finished it! Everything was so beautiful!
But let’s start from the start….. 😉
This time, Auclair tells us the story of Bethany, Amanda’s best friend who we met in the first book, and Finn.
Well, Bethany and Finn they aren’t like any other couple who meet and fall in love. No! Bethany and Finn have quite a history since there were married once – five-six years ago. Now, they meet again accidentally (?) in the wedding of a common friend of theirs. And since the wedding festivities were lasting for 3 days, their interaction was usual and quite intense. MANY things were taking place or were being told during them!
As we know, Bethany is a riding instructor just like Amanda and Finn is an architect. Five years ago they were married for a year but took a divorce because of their incompatibility. As the now unfolds, it brings along the whole story of their shared past and also, some very powerful emotions which had been hiding for a long time and now they find the chance to resurface again.
But some secrets, too, are revealed as Beth and Finn come closer and closer again. And nobody can predict what they will cause and what kind of reactions they are going to pull from each one.
Colette Auclair has created a very sweet story and a very heart-breaking one since at some point i was crying so hard that it was like i was swimming in a pool of tissues! And, since I haven’t read before a story whose theme was a divorced couple, I have to say that I was really impressed of how unpredicted can it be and how much of your soul is able to touch.
And honestly, this time, the fact that she wrote the story without direct POVs of the characters, it didn’t bother me at all. Actually, I didn’t even noticed because the plot and what was happening between these two had sucked me up so much that I was incapable of notice anything else. I was in constant WTH and biting-my-nail-to-their-core case! The intensity had literally gone through the roof!!!
NOTE: Although, these books are practically standalones, I recommend to read the series from the beginning so you don’t get confused in he process.
