The second book of this serial is so much better than the first one. Maybe I enjoyed it more because I love Silas and the book was 75% from Silas’s POV, or because the second installment reveals more secrets or simply because the plot is getting trickier, and messier, and more intriguing as the story continues, but I definitely loved the part 2 more than the first one.
When I read book one, I had a hypothesis. I thought I was going to prove it right or wrong but I couldn’t, because the book is an effing cliffhanger *ugh* again, which means I’ll have to wait for the third part to see either I was thinking was correct or not.
What I loved about this book:
- Silas! Duh, of course, he’s so in love with Charlie. He even knows he loves her even without remembering her completely.
- Landon! He’s the best brother ever. He worries about Silas, and despite the fact that he didn’t believe Silas about his lack of memory, he helped him and I’m sure he’ll keep helping him, and Charlie, in the next book.
- The dreams. Silas had the notes, the letters, the journals, and all of this helped him to find Charlie, but she didn’t have anything. Only the dreams helped her to be ready for him when he finally found her.
- Their intense attraction to each other. I loved the last two chapters of the book, they were “seeing” each other for the first time, still, they held each other and found comfort especially for what will happen to them in the next hours.
