Notorious Nora Sutherlin is famous for her delicious works of erotica, each one more popular with readers than the last. But her latest manuscript is different—more serious, more personal—and she's sure it'll be her breakout book... if it ever sees the light of day.

Zachary Easton holds Nora's fate in his well-manicured hands. The demanding British editor agrees to handle the book on one condition: he wants complete control. Nora must rewrite the entire novel to his exacting standards—in six weeks—or it's no deal.

Nora's grueling writing sessions with Zach are draining... and shockingly arousing. And a dangerous former lover has her wondering which is more torturous—staying away from him... or returning to his bed?

Nora thought she knew everything about being pushed to your limits. But in a world where passion is pain, nothing is ever that simple.

review~Vivian’s Review~

Words have lost me after reading The Siren! I take that back…I have TOO MANY words after reading The Siren. Tiffany Reisz’ writing is phenomenal! I found myself rereading scenes to attempt to fully grasp the meaning behind her words and just to reread in general. Everything was so detailed and descriptive; it put me on “sensory overload” at times…which is awesome!

In a twitter conversation I had with her while reading The Siren she said, “I do everything on purpose.” I am learning that that is SO TRUE! Every scene in the book seemed pivotal and linked to a future scene one way or another. You would read a scene that you didn’t think could possibly be important to the plot and the *BAM* four chapters later you have an *aha* moment and that scene makes so much more sense! For example, “The Gift of the Magi” story…the relevance of this scene when Nora talks about how it is a “horror story” and Wesley argues it is a “love story”…THAT SCENE…makes so much more sense at the end.

“What do you want to win?” –Wesley.

“You, Wesley. But I can’t win you without selling who I am to afford you.” –Nora.

“And I can’t win you without selling my soul, right?” –Wesley.

“Now you see why I said The Gift of Magi was a horror story.” –Nora.

Tiffany goes about her writing differently than any other author I know. Whereas most authors start at “the beginning” of a couples love story, Tiffany slaps us right at the “end”…and it’s not necessarily a love story.  In our twitter conversation I tweeted, “I’m really liking it so far! I’m curious to c where this book goes…HEA or not? <3” To which Tiffany replied, “I’ll say the series as a whole is HEA-driven, but not every book in the series is pure romance.” The Siren starts out 5 years AFTER Nora left Soren…not so HEA…BUT that doesn’t mean they don’t get one…this only book one after all.

Twitter conversation between Angelica, Tiffany, Reisz and me:

Angelica tweet: “Can I ask why did you make us not love Soren in the first book?”

Tiffany tweet: “I didn’t say he wasn’t lovable. I said he wasn’t likeable. I loved him from the beginning. He’s based on The God of the Old Testament so it was fun to make him scary, sadistic, and yet incredibly loving and compassionate.”

Tiffany tweet: “He’s wildly unlikeable in the first book which was so much fun to write. He’s much more likeable in the other books.”

(I am praying you are telling me the truth Tiffany! I want to, no I NEED to love Soren. Nora is so obviously in love with him and he is truly in love with her. “You are now and always my life.” –Soren. )

Vivian tweet: “R u up to the task…can you make me love Soren? I finished THE SIREN lastnite. LOVED IT<3 But that ending…idk how I feel lol.”

Tiffany tweet: “It’s a tricky ending and the trick is revealed in book 3. Nora always knows what she’s doing.”

(Smooth move there Tiffany! You got me! I am DYING to know what happens. I guess I will have to read the rest of the books *wink*)

I’m curious to see if Tiffany can make me love Soren as much as my blogger friend, Angelica. That will be quite the accomplishment…right now I am so torn! I feel like I’ve known these characters for some time now (Angelica won’t stop talking about them to me! Lol). Only time will tell where my heart will go! (I’m #teamWesley for now BTW *winks*).

“Soren isn’t some boyfriend you have a fight with and then kiss and make up. He’s the invading army you surrender to before it burns your village down.” –Nora.

5 Stars!
