Luke Boone doesn't know exactly what his uncle Rust is involved in but he wants in on it-the cars, the money, the women. And it looks like he's finally getting his wish. When Rust hands him the managerial keys to the garage, they come with a second set—one that opens up the door to tons of cash and opportunity. Though it's not exactly legal, Luke's never been one to worry about that sort of thing. Especially when it puts him behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 and onto the radar of gorgeous socialite named Rain.

Clara Bertelli is at the top of her game—at only twenty-six years old, she's one of the most successful undercover officers in the Washington D.C. major crime unit, and she's just been handed a case that could catapult her career and expose one of the west coast's most notorious car theft rings. But, in order to do it, she'll need to go deep undercover as Rain Martines. Her target? The twenty-four-year old nephew of a key player who appears ready to follow in his uncle's footsteps.

As Clara drifts deeper into the luxurious lifestyle of Rain, and further into the arms of her very attractive and charming target, the lines between right and wrong start to blur, making her wonder if she'll be able to leave it all behind. Or if she'll even want to.

I’m loving KA Tucker’s writing style more and more! And of course I’m loving the Burying Water Series. I was so happy when I knew the second book was going to be about Jesse’s best friend Luke. I liked him from the first book, he was a great friend to Jesse and he had a big part in Alex’s story (If you haven’t read Burying Water, you have to ASAP, it’s an amazing book too). Anyway, I was a little surprised about how much I loved this book, because, to be honest, cop’s books aren’t my thing, but Becoming Rain surprised me in so many ways. The storyline, characters, mystery and ending were very awesome!

In Becoming Rain we have one beautiful undercover cop, Clara, who is behind Luke’s uncle and his illegal business and in order to get to her target, Clara, or Rain (her undercover name), will have to approach Luke, gain his trust and get a lot of information out of him. Up until now, everything seems pretty average for a cop kind of story, and this is when I was wondering how the story would go on, because this kind of stories always end up with the bad guy in jail (or dead) and the good cop will be very proud of herself and that’s all. But…. I was so wrong. SO WRONG! This story has romance, secrets, revelations, cars, jewelry, yachts, murderers, russian mafia and one amazing ending. I was crying like a baby the last 15% of this book. It broke my heart, because so many terrible things were happening in Luke’s life, but I loved how KA Tucker made it perfectly for him.

I loved both main characters in this book, Clara and Luke. Clara was a badass, period. AMAZING! #BookGirlfriendAlert And Luke *sigh* was just the best. He has a beautiful heart, he’s a wonderful man and he deserves the best in life. Luke definitely won a pretty high spot in my Book Boyfriend list.

“How am I going to live with myself after all this?

“You’ll figure it out. You’re a decent person. You just needed a good, harsh rain to remind you of it.”

Josh Goodman and Elizabeth Louise are easily becoming my favorite narrators ever. They narrated Burying Water and I was worried a little they sounded like the Jesse and Alex, but they despite of being the same people, the same voices, and even the same inflections, they sounded just like complete different people. Elizabeth did an amazing British accent for Almira and Josh did a great for Aref’s accent too, and not to mention the russian accent for Vlad and the other bad guys.
