They are everywhere: haunting her, tormenting her. In the midst of it all, he'd been her escape, her passion. The only person she'd trusted in six years. And then he'd made her doubt that trust, wounding her deeply. But she is ready to fight and not just for survival. Book Review: 5 stars
This book has a lot of answers but it added more and more questions. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, I was so worried, desperate, angry, sad and relieved with everything what happened in the second book of the series. Lisa keeps proving her expertise in writing suspense novels with the best addition of erotica *fans self*, because Lian and Amy are HOT together, but that wasn’t what mattered in this book, and for that I love this book. All the action, the mystery and the plot is what makes this book, and series so awesome, and I can’t wait to read what this story brings to Chad, Amy’s brother.
What I loved about this book was the tenacity of Amy to discover the truth about what happened to her family and to protect Liam. And the second I loved the most about it was definitely Liam and his true love for Amy. He was there for her, even when she didn’t want his help. I loved his support for her with everything that happened to her in this book.
There was some crazy things happening around Amy and she was annoyingly naive, but everything happens for a reason in this series. Lisa knows how to create the suspense atmosphere and leave you hanging for the next books. Bring it Lisa, I’m ready!
Audiobook Review: 5 stars
Charlotte Penfield did it again. This audiobook was perfectly narrated, the pronunciation was perfect, I usually have the book to read while I’m listening, but not this time, and it was really easy. Her voices for the characters were better than in the first one. Liam is a dominant character and she didn’t sound like that in the first book, but she did it in this second book. She did great for the secondary characters too. This audiobook 100% recommended to accompany the reading!
