The New York Times bestselling author of The Submissivereturns with a scintillating new tale about power, danger, and jaw-dropping passion....

Nathaniel and Abby are struggling to navigate the challenging waters of their own relationship, when they get a surprising phone call from their partners in play, Dena and Jeff, who are in need of a helping hand…

Seven years ago, blonde, beautiful lawyer Dena Jenkins was tired of her carefully controlled life. Desperate for something exhilarating to help her escape the pressures of her demanding job and her senator father, she joined a steamy, local BDSM club as a submissive. There she met brooding Dominant, Jeff. The attraction between them was undeniable, and, despite Dena’s doubts, they couldn’t stay away from each other.

Except, as the years have passed, their blazing connection has proven difficult to maintain. Dena and Jeff have a history they’d rather forget, but Dena can’t let go of the past, and Jeff is ready to move across the country to give her space. Now, to save their passion, they’ll have to rediscover what it means to trust each other—and give themselves to each other completely…

BOOK REVIEW: 5+ STARS

I love love love Tara Sue Me books, they are always so hot and romantic and her dominant men are just perfect. I love that she decided to connect Partners in Play Series with The Submissive Series. Reading about Abby & Nathaniel and Julie & Daniel was absolutely delightful.

So, this book is an expected spin off of Seduced by Fire and The Enticement. Dena and Jeff had some intense encounters in those previous books, and those were just the pick of how their relationship really is. In The Collar we know about their past and how they are back together. There is so much drama in this book, and not from their relationship, but also because someone is stalking Dena and she’s really frightened about it.

Just like the other dominant men that Tara has written, Master Parks is AMAZING *New dominant book boyfriend thank you very much*. I love that he has a contrast to his dom side, he has an insecure side, which I totally loved. Dena on the other side is an excellent submissive, always so eager to please her master, but outside the playroom, she was all sassy and tough. Dena and Jeff were meant to be together, inside and outside the playroom. Their HEA was so unexpected *happy dance*

“She was intelligent and strong and there was a fierceness that lit her eyes. He wanted to harness that strength and control it, until her fierceness consumed them both.”

Can’t wait for the next books of the series. The Exhibitionist brings more about Abby and Nathaniel’s relationship, and The Master is about Sasha and Cole.

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: 5 STARS

I love the audiobooks from The Submissive Series. Angelica Lee has done an excellent job for Abby & Nathaniel’s books, and now opposite to John Michael Morgan, they’ve done an amazing performance for The Collar. Their dual narration is a perfect addition to the story’s erotism and romanticism. Angelica’s soft voice is perfect in the play room scenes, and John Michael’s inflexion fits for Jeff’s dominant personality. 100% recommended.
