Armed with two years' worth of savings and the need to experience life outside the bubble of her Oregon small town, twenty-five-year old Amber Welles is prepared for anything. Except dying in Dublin. Had it not been for the bravery of a stranger, she might have. But he takes off before she has the chance to offer her gratitude.

Twenty-four-year-old River Delaney is rattled. No one was supposed to get hurt. But then that American tourist showed up. He couldn't let her die, but he also couldn't risk being identified at the scene—so, he ran. Back to his everyday life of running his family’s pub. Only, everyday life is getting more and more complicated, thanks to his brother, Aengus, and his criminal associations. When the American girl tracks River down, he quickly realizes how much he likes her, how wrong she is for him. And how dangerous it is to have her around. Chasing her off would be the smart move.

Maybe it's because he saved her life, or maybe it's because he's completely different from everything she's left behind, but Amber finds herself chasing after River Delaney. Amber isn’t the kind of girl to chase after anyone.

And River isn't the kind of guy she'd want to catch.

BOOK REVIEW: 4,5 STARS

K.A. Tucker keeps surprising me with every book she writes. Chasing River is an original story about love, family, friends, loyalty, chasing dreams and finding one’s true self, and of course true love.

This book is about Amber, Jesse’s brother. I liked her so much in Burying Water and when I knew the third book was about her, I was so happy and ready to read it. So, Amber decides to have the trip of her dreams, a travel around the world, but when she arrives to Dublin, Ireland, she is saved by a Irish guy from a terrorist attack. – I have to make a pause here and say this: When I read ‘Irish, dark red hair, stubble face, handsome’, guess who I thought about: JAMIE DORNAN, hahaha Yes, I know, I’m crazy about him… Now, let’s go back to the review. – And after a few days of being hidden and pretty shaken after the attack, she decides to resume her trip in Dublin but destiny is destiny and she ends up finding River, the hot Irish guy who saved her.

And just like the other books of the series, serious crime is all around this love story, and if it wasn’t for it, Amber and River wouldn’t have met and fallen in love with each other. For both of them it was all a big change, because when Amber was raised to always do the correct thing, even betraying her own twin brother with their father, the sheriff, when he was doing bad things, River was raised to protect and always being loyal to his brothers and family, no matter what. They both had to face situations that made them re-evaluate her beliefs, to question if it was worth following the same steps they’ve been thought to, or if it was better to do the opposite for everybody’s sake. If you decide to read this book, please let me know if you, just like I did, cried with the end, happy tears of course. It was so beautiful and perfect that if it wasn’t for some little details, this book has gotten its 5 stars.

Amazing book, plot, characters, main and secondary, writing style. Everything was great. And the best is MY NEW BOOK BOYFRIEND: RIVER! *sigh* I’m in love!

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: 5 IRISH STARS

Oh. My. God. The bloody Irish accent! Ok, I still don’t understand it very well, I don’t care, it’s bloody fantastic and sexy and EVERYTHING! Listening to Elizabeth Louise and Shane East talking in this particular accent was so exquisite! They did amazing performances for all the characters. Elizabeth’s voice was so Amber, so sweet and gentle, and Shane was so River, so strong, manly, overprotective. His voice is so much better for River than he was for Hardin in the After Series audios.
