The ride of her life . . .
Once upon a time, Carissa Teodoro believed in happy endings. Money, marriage, motherhood: everything came easy---until she woke up to the ugly truth about her Prince Charming. Now a struggling, single mom and stranded by a flat tire, Carissa's pondering her mistakes when a vaguely familiar knight rides to her rescue on a ton of horsepower.Climb on and hold tight . . .
In high school, Carson Steele was a bad boy loner who put Carissa on a pedestal where she stayed far beyond his reach. Today, he's the hard-bodied biker known only as Joker, and from the way Carissa's acting, it's clear she's falling fast. While catching her is irresistible, knowing what to do with her is a different story. A good girl like Carissa is the least likely fit with the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Too bad holding back is so damned hard. Now, as Joker's secrets are revealed and an outside threat endangers the club, Joker must decide whether to ride steady with Carissa---or ride away forever . . .

BOOK REVIEW: 5 STARS
I’ve been wanting to read a book by Kristen Ashley since forever, and by forever I mean since Gretchen from About That Story keep telling me how amazing she and her books are, and FINALLY I did it, and I think I started with one hellova book: Ride Steady. This is more than a love story, this is more than a bikers story, this is a story about friendship, a family beyond blood, about getting a beautiful life after thinking you are not getting one, and of course, it has the addition of a fantastic romance between a Joker and a Butterfly.
Carson JOKER Steele had a hard childhood and despite his father telling him that he was a piece of sh**t, he had good people who kept telling him he was worth it, his neighbors Mrs. Heely and Linus and his history teacher, Mr. Robinson. 8 years after he left his hometown, he’s back and he’s part of a motorcycle club named Chaos, he has brothers, he is reuniting with his old friends and best part is that the destiny – thank god for destiny and fate and the stars and everything – lead him to his old love from high school, Carissa Teodore, just when she most needed someone like him, caring, protective and absolutely in love with her.
“Good stuff. A good life. A beautiful life. You’ll get it. I know it. Because you deserve it.”
I cried so many times reading this book, with Carson’s childhood, with Carissa’s present life, with Carson’s friend Mr. Robinson’s struggle in life. But it also made me laugh and it made my heart happy for all the amazing things that happened. Carson was like a Biker Santa Claus, he wanted to make everyone happy, he wanted the people he loved to be protected and have the best in their lives, and let me tell you, he kinda did it. Also, Carissa was amazing, she and her little baby boy, Travis, stole my heart. I loved when she tried to save Carson, but she didn’t realized that the only thing she needed to do was to love him just as much as he loved her.
“My manly man biker. He has an answer for everything.”
“My goofball Butterfly. She’s got a knack for makin’ me hard even when she’s bein’ a total goof,” he shot back.
The verdict: AMAZING book, great plot, characters well developed, there were some things about the writing style that I didn’t like much, but it doesn’t really matter because this book was PERFECT! Can’t wait to read more books by Kristen.
AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: 4 STARS
The audio companion for this book was great. Kate Russell did an amazing performance, except for the voices for some men, but the rest was great. I especially loved the inflection for Elvira, it was so funny. Her narration for the sex scenes made them so much hotter than.

Jai Courtney is perfect for Carson Joker Steele
