In this third book in the sexy, suspenseful “The Secret Life of Amy Bensen” series from New York Times bestselling author Lisa Renee Jones, we meet Amy’s brother Chad—and the woman who either loves him or wants him dead.
Six years ago, Chad’s hunt for a dangerous treasure turned deadly when his family home was set on fire, his parents killed. Faking his and his sister Amy’s death to protect her from further retaliation, he set her up in a new life with a friend’s help, letting her believe he’d died.
But now the men who hired Chad to find the treasure have found him, imprisoning and torturing him to learn where it’s hidden. A dark-haired beauty named Gia helps him escape, promising him access to his worst enemy. And as he tries to unravel the deep secrets of the past, he starts falling for her…only to discover she’s not what she seems.
Unable to trust anyone, Chad focuses on only two things: protecting his sister Amy and getting revenge. Is love even possible in the midst of heartache?

Lisa Lisa Lisa….Did I ever said I loved that woman and her writing? Well if not I truly apologize and bow for her talent!
After reading Escaping Reality (Book 1) And Infinite Possibilities (Book 2) that women had me hooked and I couldn’t count the weeks and days until Forsaken (Book 3) and I need Unbroken (Book 4) more than I need my next breath!!!!
The way Lisa writes is amazing and keeps you captive from start to the very end. I love how she leads you one way through the book and you keep guessing and thinking out these theories and then at the end surprise….It’s something completely different!
About Forsaken….I am so glad we got to met and know lovely and feisty Chad. To learn about his actions and all the emotions and fears behind them. In the first 2 books He was just a name, and now that name has gotten personality too. We also get to met a new character Gia that’s as lovely and cute as Chad….even more because she becomes someone to ground Chad and help him relax and get rid of the guilt that he has carried on his shoulders for too long.
Their love story isn’t the typical one, girl meets boy they fall in love, get married and live happily ever after. They have to learn to trust each other in short time and survive some crazy situations together. But they still find that love and even if they didn’t wanted to admit it at first…..It’s there 🙂
I also loved all the drama, tension and hidden secrets and agendas at every corner. I maybe be called a drama queen, but damn a GOOD book has to have some strong storyline to survive in this jungle of releases and this series has plenty of it!!!!
At first I was afraid there wouldn’t be any Liam and Amy in this book….but they do appear and that made it even better for me.
I give this book 5 STARS!!!!!!
Angy’s review: 5+++ stars
Lisa made it one more time. Forsaken has everything, romance, drama, action, new revelations and the best sex scenes ever. Oh, it has something I love in a book: A MAN’S POV! And she wrote it flawlessly. Chad’s perspective was so believable, so manly, strong and angry. It was perfect. I can’t wait to listen to the audiobook narrated by Sebastian York, I’m sure he’ll do the best performance for Chad.
Ok, so this book is all about Chad, Amy’s brother, and all the secrets that hasn’t been revealed in the previous books. It starts right in the horrible news Amy got in the second book, when Chad is kidnapped by Sheridan and he’s being interrogated by a woman. He needs to get out of there and find his sister and be sure she’s safe. He also has to keep his secret well hidden and far away from Sheridan. In this book he finds allies, enemies, family and something he doesnt think he’ll ever have in his life: TRUST AND LOVE.
Chad stole my heart from the beginning. He is so broken, so alone and feels so guilty for everything that happened to his family and the worst is that he doesn’t feel worth of having a good life. I was so in awe of how his walls were falling thanks to Gia. – No Spoilers, don’t worry, I won’t say more about it. –
Perfect book, so far my favorite of the series. Gimme more Chad, please!
