Book review: 3 stars
When I asked for this ARC I did so because I love the trope of the player womanizer that falls madly in love with the cute girl she meets by chance, like it was meant to be, like the red string of fate, I’m a sucker for romance like that.
And this book does not disappoint, Jordan is a woman that’s really guarded and has promised herself to never be in a relationship, this clearly leads to a string of one night stands, and she is very up front about her intentions so it’s sort of gentlemanly.
Kristin is unhappily married, her relationship is in a crash and burn situation that when she confronts her husband about it, and at the same time is intrigued by Jordan sets in motion a series of events that make them a very enjoyable couple.
This story is full of romance and a very light but engaging emotional struggle that fortunately, at least for me, is not a coming out story, it’s just is and is a breath of fresh air. Towards the end it felt a bit rushed but not as much to make it annoying, just a little blip in your radar so it shouldn’t affect too much the reading experience.
Overall, this is a good reading to enjoy while drinking iced tea in a hot summer day. Believe me, it’s a feel good story.
