Welcome to the City, London’s most prestigious square mile, where finance reigns and Oliver King is a rising prince.
I used to rule the world.
There might be wolves on Wall Street, but there were crocodiles in Canary Wharf. Some of us craved money. Some of us craved power.
I liked money, and power had its advantages, but what I really wanted was to excel, to surpass the men who came before me. I never cared much for love and romance until I met Alexis.
I could feel it the very moment she walked into the interview, with her outspoken charm and vivacious personality. She cast all the others in shadow, made me laugh when life held no humour. Our friendship should have remained professional, but it wasn’t long before the lines started to blur.
You know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men? Well, I never foresaw where my plans would lead, and only in my darkest hour did I finally see the light…
You can have all the money and prestige in the world and still be the poorest man alive. And love, well, I hate to use a tired old cliché, but love can be the thing that truly sets you free.
***King of Hearts is standalone romance that tells the story of Oliver King, first encountered in Hearts of Fire. This is the third book in L.H. Cosway's Hearts series.***
“I could lose the run of myself inside a woman like you, Alexis.”
UTTERLY ADDICTIVE. BREATHTAKING. BEAUTIFULLY EROTIC.
Word after word takes you on a journey of emotions, that could happen with epic reads but this, Six of Hearts and Hearts of Fire felt like an out of body experience. It might or not make sense but for me it was that much. I wanted to crawl inside this book, make it part of my soul. I wanted to make it a secret so that no one would find out that i experienced a read like this one. I loved it, and is not just simply love is the fascination that comes along with it.
There are times when is a need. A very strong need to read a book that caught your eye, like you can feel a connection, something that pulls you in. That happened with me and L.H. Cosway; i mean this woman has a way with words. She gave me an addiction, her words are just there full of emotion. And when i say emotion i’m talking about everything, from laugh out loud to bawling, is amazing. L.H. Cosway put me under a spell, that is that. Book after book, from Painted Faces to The Hearts Series is a tour de force (masterpiece). Breathtaking stories and characters that steal your heart delivered with charisma. Love stories that even if they say i love you after just meeting each other, you believe that’s love. A chemistry that can feel it within every page. IS MAGICAL. reading L.H. Cosway books just ruins you.
KING. OLIVER KING. Yeah, remember him? our lost soul in Hearts of Fire. The man that Lille saw that his eyes told a story? YES! This is his story. His story is first set 6 years previous to the events of Hearts of Fire. Oliver was engaging and consuming. On his first encounter with Alexis even tho they didn’t spoke much i felt their chemistry bursting at the seams.
“You included a picture, Miss Clark, and I liked the look of you.”
When Oliver lost his way, and he was found again (not giving much of the plot away) our heroine Alexis she became my favorite heroine in the world. Bringing Oliver pieces back together was not easy, i even struggled reading it but it was so easy yet difficult for her. Their love never died and it healed them when the pain was just too much. Alexis was a wonderful storyteller she was all sassy and funny but when things got serious she got serious. Honestly this is what makes being a bookworm so worth it.
The love scenes took the air from my body and made its own. It was all kinds of beautiful and erotic.
“You are so fucking beautiful,” he said, so quietly I almost didn’t hear him. And then he pressed his face to my vagina, mouthing it through the fabric and miraculously finding my clit. He sucked it into his mouth, dampening the material and sending me to the edge of desperation. I needed my knickers gone. Now.” I DIED
I…. sharing that quote back there was not easy. Anyways this is how it’s done. This is how a love story is written. Yes i accept that there are other authors out there that are simply amazing and gifted but what we have here is unique. Something that everyone that loves reading should experience.
Book 4 is coming up HEARTS OF BLUE Karla Sheehan (Alexis best friend) and Lee Cross story. It can be read as a standalone yet if by this point you haven’t pick up L.H. Cosway books and Hearts of Blue is going to be your first… I MEAN WHAT ARE YOU DOING? NO! Go back read Six of Hearts first, hell! read the blurb it will awake new sensations in you even if you don’t quiet believe in magic. I cannot recommend this series highly enough!!
