The Christmas season always puts a smile on Jenna McFadden’s face. Even though she’s bringing a boyfriend home for the first time, inside she’s dying to see Andrew. Years ago, when the McFaddens took the troubled teen into their home, Jenna had to keep her blazing-hot crush a secret. And now that he’s playing pro hockey for the NHL’s Chicago Aces, nothing’s changed. With his wide shoulders and taut muscles, Andrew’s the most tempting package in the house . . . one that Jenna’s dying to unwrap.
Andrew Ross just can’t make a play for Jenna. Her dad and brothers wouldn’t approve, and he could never betray the trust of the wonderful people who treated him like family when he lost his own. That’s what makes the holidays so hard. Whether Jenna’s skating with Andrew on a frozen pond or sitting on his lap while he plays Santa, she’s pushing all their boundaries—and there’s only so much a man can take. Andrew knows that she’s off-limits. But something deep down tells him that Jenna’s heart is the one prize he simply has to win.

book review: 3 stars!
I think that I don’t have to repeat my statement on how hot the book boyfriends athletes really are, right? Because damn! They are so hot and at the same time, their ability to love someone is above the normal level and they have so much tenderness to give and worshiping to do…
In this book, the BBF is a hockey player. And to be more specific, an NHL hockey player. And the name of this delicious package iiiiiiiiiiis…. Andrew Ross. Now, on the other side of the story is Jenna McFadden, a accountant in a NY firm and the woman that Andrew has a special bond and Past with.
She was what I really wanted.
Our story begins and unfolds during the period of Christmas. But first, a small of flashback is required: Andrew and Jenna belong to the same family but they are not relative at all. Jenna’s parents took Andrew in when he lost his family at the age of sixteen. At that time, both had developed deep feelings for each other and, as almost always is, neither knew about it. So, they kept behaving as they were siblings – there was, also, a fatherly warning in the middle – and never had a romantic relationship. Until Jenna was Andrew’s college-buddy. That was when they took their relationship into a more intimate level. But, unfortunately, due some… complications, it didn’t work out.
I tried not to stare at her, but damn, it was like my eyes were hungry for her.
So now, we are 5 years after that incident. Jenna and Andrew are coming back home for Christmas. But Jenna brings along her boyfriend. And Andrew doesn’t like this. At ALL! Although that, he stays a gentlemen and tries to swallow it down. But, he has no idea what a thunderstorm of emotions his presence caused to Jenna. And what follows is really stunning! The love they have for each other is plain amazing.
This wasn’t just affection. His eyes were hot and hungry, focused on me with searing intensity. My body became electrified and my knees trembled.
I really liked this story. It was so sweet, lovely and so calm, that made me calm. Every time I read a chapter, any negative feeling inside me was flying away and I was entering in a kind of nirvana mood. But, except those, it made cry from laughter at some point. I just laughing and laughing. Couldn’t stop. I really want to say which part was, but I don’t want also to spoil it for you! Because, believe me, it will have a different value if you find it on your own and read it spoil-free. Personally, I think I re-read that moment around five times because it was just priceless……
The only thing that’s left for me to say is: GO READ IT!! Jamieson’s writing is pretty great and she knows how to write a love story. You won’t be left disappointed by it! Trust me! 😉
