Book & Audiobook Review: 10 +++ stars

About the book:

Fallon is a girl who had it all once, good looks, great career coming her way but all that was taken away from her when she was injured in a house fire. Her confidence has taken the biggest fall and now she believes she is worth nothing and her father’s comments doesn’t help her case.

Ben is an aspiring writer sitting in the booth next to Fallon and her dad at a local restaurant and can’t help not overhearing all the things her dad is saying to her and seeing how hurt Fallon is by them. He decides to play her “boyfriend” to prove a point for her father and that’s how their relationship starts off.

They hit it off but Fallon is moving from LA to NY that same night and they decide to met up once a year on the same day and pick up where they left of the last time without any other contact what so ever in the time between.

Will their agreement work? Or are there hidden secrets underneath that will destroy it all and break them both apart forever?

My review:

I have read teasers and heard about all the great reviews and decided to see for myself what this book was all about. At first I didn’t picked up on all the amazedness everyone were talking about. But then after a while into the book my heart was totally consumed by the story and the emotional journey Ben and Fallon were going through. At the times I had to pause and re-think things to stop tears from falling but no use. I was crying like a baby over and over again. 🙁

I love how Colleen wrote this book, it is a very unique way to write and put things to perspective. The story gets 10 +++ stars and every other star in heaven!!!! You totally destroyed me with this one Colleen! I thought Ugly Love had already broken me to pieces and just when I started to heal this one comes along and breaks my heart all over again.

It was very satisfying to read a book like this with a very special plot and to see how characters were growing with each chapter and how their feelings for each other developed along the way. This one shows us that a book doesn’t need 90% sex scenes to be romantic, sensual and give us a sense of a real and true love in the making.

I just loved loved loved the twist in it, I expected something to happen but nothing like this.

And thank God it wasn’t what I had in mind 🙂

There is NOTHING I don’t like about this book! NOTHING!!! Even if my heart was broken and my soul was crushed like glass I recommend EVERYONE to read this awesome book! It will take you to another level, it will cause you pain, you will suffer and you will rise like a phoenix and feel happiness in your heart again.

About the narrators:

Zachary Webber and Angela Goethals are the super stars in this book!!!

They did beyond amazing job on this one. They really brought the books characters to life and it felt like they completely adapted to the story and made it their own. I could close my eyes and picture the situations, places, conversations and every little detail.

I felt the pain, the anticipation, the hope and their love they tried and more then succeeded   to show to us. They made the book even better for me. I don’t know if I would have felt this strong about it without their interpretation and how they managed to let us in Ben’s and Fallon’s world and show it to us through their eyes.

10 stars for these two!!! 🙂

“I think about you every second of every day and I don’t know how to get over you,” she says.
“Don’t,” I beg her. “Please don’t get over me.”
