When Brent Mason looks at Kennedy Randolph, he doesn’t see the awkward, sweet girl who grew up next door. He sees a self-assured, stunning woman…who wants to crush the most intimate - and prized - parts of his anatomy beneath the heels of her Christian Louboutins.
Brent has never let the loss of his leg in a childhood accident affect his ability to lead a fulfilling life. He sets high goals–and then he reaches them.
And now he has his sights set on Kennedy.
When Kennedy looks at Brent Mason, all she sees is the selfish, Abercrombie & Fitch catalogue-worthy teenager who humiliated her in high school to join the popular crowd. A crowd that made those years a living hell.
She’s not a lovesick social outcast anymore - she’s a DC prosecutor with a long winning streak behind her. Brent is the opposing attorney in her next case and she thinks it’s time to put him through a little hell of his own.
But things aren’t exactly working out that way.
Because every fiery exchange has her wondering if he’s as passionate in the bedroom as he is in the courtroom. Each argument and objection only makes him want her more. In the end, Brent and Kennedy may just find themselves in love…or in contempt of court.
APPEALED is a sexy, humorous romance about first crushes, second chances and the final verdict of the heart.

BOOK REVIEW: 5+++ STARS
“Brent has bright blue eyes, brown curly-ish hair and a boyish smile. He comes from a wealthy family and puts the “play” in playboy ” – FB comment from Emma in March 25th, 2015.
That very day I chose my dream cast for Brent, David Giuntoli, and was so eager to meet him. In fact, every time I read Brent’s name in Overruled and Sustained, I would get all excited because I knew I’d love him when I finally read his book. But the truth is, I fell in love with him in Overruled when he was the best friend Sofia could have. He was always taking good care of her and her feelings —also loved the idea of him growing his beard because he wanted to look older *sigh*—, and then in Sustained when he was teasing Jake about liking Chelsea more than a friend, and when he was playing with the McQuaid kids and explaining them why he “walked funny”. Brent is simply amazing. From Sofia, Stanton and Jake’s POV he sounded like an easy going guy, the coolest of the four friends–always making jokes but saying the right thing when needed. I loved that guy. And now that I’ve read his book, I got to know his thoughts, his motives, his fears, desires, and his beautiful heart. I think it’s safe to say I love him even more than I love Jake, Stanton and Drew all together —and THAT is saying a lot.
So, let’s talk about this book. The setting takes place two years after Sustained finishes. Brent’s best friends were having busy lives with their families and for some reason Brent was feeling like he was missing something. Because he was sure he didn’t want any commitments in life, he just wanted to have fun, live in the moment and be the best in his career. And then he got reacquainted with his childhood best friend, Kennedy, and everything changed. He always liked her, but you know how teenagers are, they don’t always think with their heads, and Brent messed things up with Kennedy and she ended up hating him. So, 14 years later, when they reconnect with each other by working on the same case, she kinda made his life impossible, but Brent doesn’t give up easily and he WANTS her, badly. So he fights to get her to forgive him and give him a second chance…To know how this story ends you’ll have to read Appealed. You’ll love every word of this book.
I loved so many things about Brent’s story. His personality for starters. He’s a funny, dreamy self confident guy. He believes in fate, soulmates and want’s to be the guy to “save the princess”. He was determined and persistent. I loved how he was with Kennedy when they were in court–like equals–and I loved how he interacted with her when they were alone. He did everything possible for her to feel good, loved and cherished. He made a point to show her how much he’s grown up since the last time they saw each other, and that he won’t mess up again, because that PRINCE loves that PRINCESS.
Kennedy on the other hand was one amazing female character. She was strong but guarded, due to what she’d experienced in high school and college. But when she started dating Brent, she started showing her soft side. It was beautiful. Kennedy was so independent but when she was alone with Brent, she became vulnerable. That was perfect because that part of her needed to be loved and cherished by a man like Brent. They were perfect together.
This book was the perfect ending for this amazing series. The three couples, Sofia & Stanton, Chelsea & Jake, and now Kennedy & Brent, had beautiful stories, and this book gave a PERFECT epilogue showing how their futures are full of love, happiness and family. Because they are more than friends and partners, they are family.
