"He owns you. Whatever he tells you to do you do".

One year. No future. A past that won't go away.

Lennox "Nox" Demetri broke his own rule by making a deal. It may not have been directly with the devil, but that doesn't mean Satan himself isn't watching. Was it fate that brought Charli into his life and his bed? What will happen when rules are broken and secrets are revealed?

"New rules."

Alex "Charli" Collins found pleasure with Nox like she'd never known. That was before she knew his last name. Now that Infidelity is involved and the rules have changed, what will result when real life and fantasy collide?

Is it really cheating if you're doing it to yourself?

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Aleatha Romig comes a sexy, new dominant hero who knows what he wants and a strong-willed heroine who has plans of her own. With classic Aleatha Romig twists, turns, deceptions, and devotions, the depth of this new, epic dark romance reaches new levels and will have readers swooning one minute and screaming the next.

Have you been Aleatha'd?

CUNNING is a full-length novel, 360 pages, and the second of five books in the INFIDELITY series.

Angy’s Book Review: 5 stars

This book blew my mind in so many ways. There were plot twists after plot twist, about Charli and Nox, about Charli’s family, about Infidelity, about Nox’ business, about Nox’ family…. About everything. EVERYTHING! I couldn’t put it down, once I started it, I couldn’t stop. I was shocked with every chapter. It was simply AMAZING. I repeat what I said in my review of the first book, Aleatha’s plotting mind is evil, not only with how this book went on, but with how many paths the next books could go on, I mean, anything, ANYTHING could happen. *biting my nails* I need answers, I need to know what will happen next, and I need to know NOW!.

Cunning starts off right when Betrayal ended: With Charli’s contract being bought by Nox, and of course that changed everything. At first, Charli was in shock with Nox’ attitude toward her and then she was all excited thinking she would see the man who she fell in love with in Del Mar, but sadly she had to face a complete different person. Nox is hard and mean to her and she had to put her big girl’s panties to handle everything and survive this complete stranger for over a year, while her contract ends. But the truth is that Charli’s immediate future is not of what she was expecting, because everything happens to her: Nox was all cold and hot with her—Oh Yeah Super HOT, her mother and Bryce kept insisting in talking to her—Ugh! Back. Off. Idjits, and she had to go back to California to deal with some stuff she wasn’t expecting and caused her so much drama. This book had 2 more POV that added more surprises and of course, more drama to this book. Do you want to know how Charli managed it all? Well, read this awesome book and get a good mind fuck courtesy of Aleatha Romin—don’t tell me I didn’t warn you about it *wink*.

I totally FLOVED this book. Especially Nox and Charli. Nox is climbing really fast to the first places in my ranking of book boyfriends, he was amazing the week they spent Del Mar, he was WAY BETTER during the events in this book. I have to be honest, at first I kinda hated him, but as I kept reading all my anger transformed into a love and here i am, one week after I finished reading Cunning and I’m still thinking about him.

The plot twists were HUGE in this book. Charli’s family is worst than I thought. All of them are awful people, there is no one of them who I could say I would put my hand in the fire, NONE! There were also twists about The Montage and Demitri’s companies, about Charli’s best friend, Chelsea, about her ex-boyfriend, Bryce, and of course, there are more revelations and connections between all the characters in this series.

So, prepare yourself for Nox, Charli and everything that comes in this book, but most of all, prepare yourself for a CLIFFY! It’s a cliffhanger that will leave you just like the first book: Wishing it would be May already so you could read Deception right away.

Vivian’s Book Review: 5++ stars

Some of my reactions while reading:

*jaw hits the floor*
*WHAT?!?! Mind blown*
*awe swoon! I love him* #dibsonNox
*I hate him!*
*I love him again*
*O.M.G!!! Plot twist!*

AND THE PLOT THICKENS!! *cue the music dundunDUUUN*. The development of the storyline and characters in CUNNING is astounding! Right when you think you know what’s going on, Aleatha Romig throws in a MAJOR plot twist and changes everything!

We learn more and more about all the characters from book 1, BETRAYAL and we’re introduced to some new key players. Yes, I said NEW, as in MORE characters to add to the twists and turns. I swear this is Aleatha’s plan…throw us all these characters, give us bits and pieces of their involvement in the storyline and then leave us hanging until the next book…and I’M LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT! I can imagine Aleatha doing an evil *mahaha* laugh here. *lol*. Well moving on. In CUNNING the characters and storyline pull such emotion from the reader. For example, whenever Alexandria’s (aka Charli) mom, Adalaide is present, I want to reach through the book and beat her over the head with a 2×4 to knock some sense into her, all the while yelling “WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?”. *lol*. Then there’s Nox (#dibs BTW *wink*) whom in the beginning of CUNNING was breaking my heart *tears*. But THANKFULLY we get his POV again in this book, so we get to know his reasoning’s behind his choices. Then there’s Alton…I LOATHE HIM! He is a self-serving, pompous, righteous man (I can barely call him a man) that’s only out to protect himself and his interests, but without him, there wouldn’t be much of a story *grr*. I pray he gets his in the end! I could go and on about these characters, but I should probably leave it at that.

And this is another aspect of the book that keeps the reader on their toes…ALL THE NAMES! Each character goes by a different name depending on whom they are with or what POV we’re in:

Lennox Demetri: Nox
Alexandria Charles Montague Collins: Charli, Alex, Alexandria
Adalaide Montague Collins Fitzgerald: Laide
Edward Bryce Spencer: Bryce

The multiple POV’s make for an even more in depth plot and storyline! It’s almost as if all these POV’s intensify the story. They give the readers THAT MUCH MORE to focus on. In CUNNING, we get an additional POV, Alexandria’s mom, Laide, which like I mentioned adds MORE layers to the story. We also go back and forth from past to present. Nox and Charli’s POV’s are in the present whereas most of Laide’s chapters occurred 16-20 years ago, so we get to read her motivations behind her decisions *grr*. I’m curious to see if Aleatha gives us more POV’s in book 3 DECEPTION.

I have a feeling this series is going to be like peeling back an onion, a very LARGE onion. Each book goes further and further into the layers and reveals more and more secrets. I, for one, CAN NOT wait for the next book to come out in May 2016. I truly believe this will easily be a TOP fav of mine from 2016!

5++ stars!
