It’s not easy being a badass Zombie killer. But somebody’s got to do it.
Page Parker grew up in the aftermath of the Zombie Apocalypse. She grew up running from Zombies and fighting against the constant threat of death and disease. She knows what it’s like to suffer, to go hungry, to hurt… to lose loved ones.
But Page isn’t a little girl anymore.
And she’s no longer satisfied with the quaint life her family has carved out in their remote research station. She craves conflict. She demands retribution. She will stop at nothing until she has her revenge.
Matthias Allen is responsible for her older brother’s death. For her family’s banishment from the former United States. He’s killed, he’s tortured and now he runs his Colony with all the cruel brutality of an evil tyrant.
Someone needs to make him pay for his sins.
And since she was nine-years-old, Page has believed that person to be her.
She’ll just have to convince her family to leave their home, travel the length of South America and take on a psychotic dictator first.

Miller’s mouth pressed into a straight line. “I’m only going to let you say true things, Page. Hank did deserve it. But you know I had another choice. Don’t lie to me. Don’t lie to yourself.”
My voice was desperate when I whined, “Why are you doing this to me? Why are you making me face this right now?”
“It’s time.”
His simple answer infuriated me. “What does that even mean?” I threw my hands to the side, dislodging his hand from my arm. “That means nothing!”
He looked down the hallway and ran a frustrated hand through his tangled, knotted hair. “You’re wrong and you know it. It is time. Whatever happens tomorrow or a week from now or a year from now, you’re going to have to decide. And you need to know all the facts.”
“Decide what?” I fell back against the wall. I had never been more exhausted.
His head turned and those dark eyes captivated mine once again. “I can’t fight it anymore, Page. I’m going to give it what it wants.”
“Fight what?”
“The darkness.”
Despite my sticky, uncomfortable body and the warmth of the station, a chill glided over me and goose bumps popped up all over my exposed skin. “What does it want?”
I expected him to say Matthias or vengeance or something along those lines. But he didn’t. Instead he held my gaze for an endless moment, spilling silent secrets and telling me everything I needed to know without saying a word.
