Her time is over.
Things are looking up.

She’s dirty and ugly.
He’s wicked but handsome.

Six months to toy with her.
Six months of vacation and a ton of money.

I’ll hurt her beyond repair.
I’ve been through much worse.

She's difficult to control and doesn't obey.
I'm done submitting to anyone or anything in this life.

I should hate her.
I should hate him.

The game has changed.
I will win.

Dirty Ugly Toy is a novel that blurs the lines of right and wrong, deals with abuse, contains dubious consent, and adult subject matter. If you are sensitive to violent sexual situations, the book may not be suitable for you. Some parts of this book are not easy to read and are not intended for everyone. However, those that keep an open mind and stick with it will not be disappointed.

— 4 stars —

“Dirty Ugly Toy” is the story of Braxton Kennedy. He is a very healthy man – and playboy extraordinaire. But not in the normal sense. Every six months, he searches for a “toy” to play with him for the oncoming half a year. The women are prostitutes and he pays them so much money after the six months that they won’t ever have to sell their bodies again on the streets. But his new “toy” Jessica aka Bunny is not his average prostitute. Can he really draw a line and set her free after six months?

This was my first book by K. Webster. Her writing is amazing and I enjoyed the book vera much. It was sexy (yes, dirty LOL), angsty, sweet and suspenseful. The characters were… interesting. Jessica was an impressing heroine, but Brax. Oh, that man! He gave me serious whiplash with his hot and cold demeanor. But when push came to shove, he never really went through with his threats. That’s actually the only reason why I can’t rate this book with the full 5 stars. It was very angsty indeed – but somehow felt anti-climatic at the same time. In every situation, I anticipated the hero to leash out even more on his ‘toy’, but it never really happened. I understand, that this should fortify the special bond between them. HOWEVER, because I kept waiting for something bigger to happen, I have to detract one star in my rating.

Though this was not a unicorns and butterflies romance novel, I would not shelf the book under dark romance, more like a suspenseful romance with light BDSM tendencies. This is a standalone with a HEA.

All in all, I rate “Dirty Ugly Toy” with 4 stars and can recommend it. This definitely won’t be my last book by K. Webster!
