“A nail-biting thriller...clever twists and turns will keep readers in suspense, and just when they think they have figured out what happened to Celine, the story veers in another direction.”—Publishers Weekly
The USA TODAY bestselling author of the Ten Tiny Breaths and Burying Water series makes her suspense debut with this sexy, heartpounding story of a young woman determined to find justice after her best friend’s death, a story pulsing with the “intense, hot, emotional” (Colleen Hoover) writing that exhilarates her legions of fans.
A woman who almost had it all . . .
On the surface, Celine Gonzalez had everything a twenty-eight-year-old woman could want: a one-bedroom apartment on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, a job that (mostly) paid the bills, and an acceptance letter to the prestigious Hollingsworth Institute of Art, where she would finally live out her dream of becoming an antiques appraiser for a major auction house. All she had worked so hard to achieve was finally within her reach. So why would she kill herself?
A man who was supposed to be her salvation . . .
Maggie Sparkes arrives in New York City to pack up what’s left of her best friend’s belongings after a suicide that has left everyone stunned. The police have deemed the evidence conclusive: Celine got into bed, downed a lethal cocktail of pills and vodka, and never woke up. But when Maggie discovers a scandalous photograph in a lock box hidden in Celine’s apartment, she begins asking questions. Questions about the man Celine fell in love with. The man she never told anyone about, not even Maggie. The man Celine believed would change her life.
Until he became her ruin.
On the hunt for evidence that will force the police to reopen the case, Maggie uncovers more than she bargained for about Celine’s private life—and inadvertently puts herself on the radar of a killer. A killer who will stop at nothing to keep his crimes undiscovered.

Book Review: 5 Excellent Thriller Stars!!
This was my first book by K.A Tucker and it didn’t disappoint!
He will be my ruin wraps you up in an intense suspense and it doesn’t let go until the very end, it’s addictive. Though i expected some deep romance but what we got out of the story was enough, if you enjoy high levels of suspense to the the point you can’t sit still reading it, then this book is definitely for you.
Trust no one, don’t warm up to anybody! yet you will because the author takes you on a subtle ride where you CAN’T get to your own conclusions. I tried. and when i thought i had it figured out BOOM! everything crushed into pieces in front of my eyes. Seriously the many times you’ll sort of scream and gasp could be endless.
This book was also very realistic. We see people doing unbelievable things for money daily but are there ever right reasons to do this unbelievable things for money? are ever excused? Bad decisions someway or the other will always come back to bite your present, maybe not forever but for a moment they will. They’ll make themselves known in the future you were trying to build out of them.
That’s what basically happens to Celine Maggie’s best friend. A good girl, too ambitious for her own good.
Celine was like Maggie’s closest family so it was expected she’ll do about ANYTHING to uncover the truth. She was awfully determined and i loved that about her, she’s the hero of this story.
There were some hot and sweet moments, it wasn’t much but they were there and it was good. real good.
I figured i don’t need a swoony happily ever after to enjoy reading. This opened a door in my bookworm life to more thrillers books, i just hope i’ll find some as good as this one.
I recommend you to get comfy and sit back with something to chew on, preferably food, you will get tense and freak out and nervous! This was such a damn good book. Don’t miss it
