From the author of Maybe in Another Life—named a People Magazine pick and a "Best Book of the Summer" by Glamour and USA TODAY—comes a breathtaking new love story about a woman unexpectedly forced to choose between the husband she has long thought dead and the fiancé who has finally brought her back to life.

In her twenties, Emma Blair marries her high school sweetheart, Jesse. They build a life for themselves, far away from the expectations of their parents and the people of their hometown in Massachusetts. They travel the world together, living life to the fullest and seizing every opportunity for adventure.

On their first wedding anniversary, Jesse is on a helicopter over the Pacific when it goes missing. Just like that, Jesse is gone forever.

Emma quits her job and moves home in an effort to put her life back together. Years later, now in her thirties, Emma runs into an old friend, Sam, and finds herself falling in love again. When Emma and Sam get engaged, it feels like Emma’s second chance at happiness.

That is, until Jesse is found. He’s alive, and he’s been trying all these years to come home to her. With a husband and a fiancé, Emma has to now figure out who she is and what she wants, while trying to protect the ones she loves.

Who is her one true love? What does it mean to love truly?

Emma knows she has to listen to her heart. She’s just not sure what it’s saying.

“I don’t think that true love means your only love.
I think true love means loving truly.
Loving purely. Loving wholly.”

10 TRUE LOVES STARS!

Ten stars is still honestly not doing real justice to this book. This book are one of those books that honestly can’t be rated by stars, it has its own category, its own rating. I’m still processing and thinking about every word. EVERY WORD. If you have read my reviews before then you know I’ve expressed how other books have left me speechless, well I didn’t knew the real meaning of speechless, of breathless until I read this book. When I finished I literally needed to put my kindle a side and look at a wall to think of every word and how it affected me. Yeah this book affected me, like it did things to me that I haven’t felt with any other book for a long time. My heart did not only felt full, my soul too and is my first book by Taylor Jenkins Reid and all I can say that she is irrevocably one of my favorite authors.

Emma is a woman that lost her husband, or at least for almost for 4 years she thought of him dead. She finds herself on those 4 years moving forward and falling in love all over again. What she did not expect was her husband coming back, being found alive and ready to go back to his wife. Even tho she thought her husband was dead and was never coming back, she never forgot him, she never stopped loving him but now she has a fiancé she adores and is love with him too. Who did she choose? Who was her one true love?

I just want go up on my roof holding this books and scream to the world to READ THIS BOOK. I mean yeah, I have read similar plots but not one like this. Emma is basically in love with two man. Two incredible man. I found myself loving both of them too, Emma wasn’t the only one struggling here, I was a mess. Her husband was her high school sweetheart and we get glimpses of how they met and fell in love but we also see glimpses of how she met her fiance and how much perfect he also is. That’s what makes this book so heartbreaking and so damn overwhelming. I don’t want give anything away but I can just say that is not about the man, it was about Emma, she needed to find herself in the middle of this chaos so she could make a decision.

“I don’t know how I got so lucky to have both of you. My two true loves.”

I’m pretty sure I had some sort of mental breakdown somewhere between this pages, it was too much, too-absolutely-much. Being inside Emma’s head was both a blessing and a curse i mean if this was to happened to me I would’ve asked to be delivered to the next planet as soon as possible. You can imagine what only reading about it happening to Emma did to me. I felt bad for her but at the same time I felt so happy for her. I loved this two man along with her. My heart broke into pieces, tiny pieces I had no hope could be put back together. I knew that there was going to be heartbreak where here was love. No matter the decision hearts were gonna be broken along the way.

One of the things I love the most is how easy this characters are to love, everything felt so real. I felt every character so close to my heart that’s why I couldn’t even talk after I finished reading it. To be honest I don’t even know how I’m even writing this review, it all comes down to… READ. THE. BOOK. That’s pretty much all you need to do.

Every word is beyond moving. I can’t recommend this book highly enough. One True Loves is undoubtedly one of my best reads this year.

“I’m madly in love with you. I hope that you know how much.”
