I know I say this a lot, but damn I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!! This is a show stopper people, I can’t put it down book, a keep you up all night book. I have literally been up all night reading this, and lack of that night’s sleep is so worth it, every second of it. I am feeling so many emotions about this one that I don’t know where to start first.
Preston has closed his heart and soul for everyone since his wife committed suicide and only finds comfort in casual no strings attached BSDM sex which is only pleasure he allows himself. Kamii is still morning the loss of her husband and blames herself for it each day. When he died, her life ended as well. She was alive but she wasn’t living.
Two wounded souls lost in this big world just trying to get by but all bets are off from the first moment they lay eyes on each other. Sparks fly, desire is awaken and devil is coming out to play.
Incredibly hot, steamy, sexy story with mind-blowing suspenseful mystery that will take your breath away! I enjoyed every single moment of this amazing book. It is my first by Lauren Runow and what a great start it was. I am so happy and honored to have gotten this chance, because this is a book that will be high up on my top best books of all times. A wonderful mix between Tara Sue Me’s Submissive series with I never saw those coming twists from Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl. But trust me ladies and gentleman, Preston is way hotter and better then Ben Affleck (And God knows I love Affleck)*sighing and swooning at the same time* And I am secretly jealous of Kamii because seriously who wouldn’t want to be in her shoes even for just one scene 😉 Preston being this hot, dominating man that knows how to work his magic and make any woman crazy together with smart and independent Kamii that is a kick-ass modern day female version of Sherlock Holmes who doesn’t stop until she has all the answers.
Wonderful characters that were developed to their maximum capacities. Lauren’s way to put this brilliant story into words is beyond me. Everything was on the spot. She has gotten herself a new fan here as you can see. Poor woman is not getting rid of me after this!
