It’s always a pleasure to read Ella’s books, her romance stories are the best, they make me feel “ALL THE FEELS” and once I finished this book, they left me full of happiness, with a huge grin on my face and very satisfied. This is a lovely story, a teacher/student and second chances romance, with a bit of bitterness, angst and a lot of sexual tension.
Daniel Finley aka Finn fell in love for his professor Brantley Hayes as soon as he entered to his class and he did whatever it took in order to get him. Finn hunted him down and Brantley was so drawn to Finn that their romance was unavoidable, the difference of 9 years between them wasn’t a problem until Brantley decided that Finn should leave to college to finish his studies in Chicago. Even though he knew this was the best for Finn, Brantley didn’t think that Finn would never come back.
The years passed and Finn had a successful life, he worked his ass off to accomplish what he dreamed of, but something was missing in his life, someone was missing until after seven years he received Brantley’s note “It’s time to come home, Finn.”
Brantley wanted Finn back, but people changed, Finn had changed. Will they be able to leave the past behind, leave the resentment behind?
If you’re not a M/M romance fan, I can assure you that after reading this book you will be. The story is told from alternating POV, Ella makes her magic alternating the present with the past (flashbacks) in order to understand their romance. This is an emotional ride with a lot of passion and love, love, love <3
If you’re a fan of the Temptation series you get a glimpse of Logan & Tate *sighs here*. I hope Ella write about Derek and Jordan, I’m looking forward to their story.
