Gideon Cross. Falling in love with him was the easiest thing I've ever done. It happened instantly. Completely. Irrevocably.

Marrying him was a dream come true. Staying married to him is the fight of my life. Love transforms. Ours is both a refuge from the storm and the most violent of tempests. Two damaged souls entwined as one.

We have bared our deepest, ugliest secrets to one another. Gideon is the mirror that reflects all my flaws ... and all the beauty I couldn't see. He has given me everything. Now, I must prove I can be the rock, the shelter for him that he is for me. Together, we could stand against those who work so viciously to come between us.

But our greatest battle may lie within the very vows that give us strength. Committing to love was only the beginning. Fighting for it will either set us free ... or break us apart.

Heartbreakingly and seductively poignant, One with You is the breathlessly awaited finale to the Crossfire® saga, the searing love story that has captivated millions of readers worldwide.

Book Review: 5+++ stars

I don’t know whether to feel happy or sad with how this series ended. Of course I loved how everything wound up, Gideva’s HEA was more perfect than I could ever imagine and all the mystery plot was solved and made complete sense. Everything happened for a reason. Seriously, it was all simply amazing. But this is the end of the series, and that makes me sad. Despite the long hiatus between books, it was worth the wait.

The story started right where Captivated by You ended. Gideon has compromised with something huge about his past and that changed Eva’s perspective of how she was seeing their relationship. They met half way and that made them stronger and their love unbreakable. So many things happened to this beloved couple, hard and heartbreaking milestones, that tested their relationship, but they have grown so much they got passed everything and finally had their well deserved HEA.

I loved, loved, loved Gideon Cross. His love for Eva didn’t have a limit. He loved with his everything and more. This man was so perfectly flawed! Sylvia Day created one of the greatest male characters in the romance novels ever written. And his better half was Eva. They were perfect for each other. They grew together in so many ways, they were the same Gideon and Eva from Bared to You, and yet they were so different. What I loved the most about them as a couple is that they finally are working as a team, helping each other, protecting each other and compromising when it was needed. They were just perfect.

“She hugged me so tightly I could hardly breath. But I didn’t need air. I had her.”

Of course, the secondary characters had their spotlights. Cary, Ireland, Chris, Angus, Monica. All of them were very important for Gideva and also had their own little story. I’m very pleased of how Sylvia created their own plots.

In summary, One with You is one perfect ending for The Crossfire series. #Gideva for ever!

Audiobook Review: 4 stars

I highly enjoyed this audiobook. Jill Redfield did an amazing performance. I remember not liking her so much in the previous audiobooks but getting used to her breathy voice very quickly. I felt very comfortable with this audiobook. Her voice sounds more mature now, which fitted very well with Eva’s personality. Her inflexion for Gideon was strong, smooth and very sensual. Sadly Jeremy York didn’t do a great narration in my opinion. His voice was good for Gideon, transmitting his personality and strength, but his inflexion for Eva wasn’t that good at all. Despite this little thing, I really liked the audiobook and overall, it was a good companion for One With You.
