In New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Proby’s brand new series, five best friends open a hot new restaurant, but one of them gets much more than she bargained for when a sexy former rock star walks through the doors—and into her heart.
Seduction is quickly becoming the hottest new restaurant in Portland, and Addison Wade is proud to claim 1/5 of the credit. She’s determined to make it a success and can’t think of a better way to bring in new customers than live music. But when former rock star Jake Keller swaggers through the doors to apply for the weekend gig, she knows she’s in trouble. Addie instantly recognizes him—his posters were plastered all over her bedroom walls in high school—he’s all bad boy...exactly her type and exactly what she doesn’t need.
Jake Keller walked away from the limelight five years ago and yearns to return to what’s always driven him: the music. If he gets to work for a smart-mouthed, funny-as-hell bombshell, all the better. But talking Addie into giving him the job is far easier than persuading her that he wants more than a romp in her bed. Just when she begins to drop her walls, Jake’s past finally catches up with him.
Will Addie be torn apart once again or will Jake be able to convince her to drown out her doubts and listen to her heart?

Book & Audibook Review: 5+++ Stars
Listen To Me is a book about friendship, forgiveness, love, and second chances.
This is the story of Addie and Jake. Addie had a taste for rock stars, and sadly that had created some baggage in her love life. After so many break ups and deceptions, she is now very guarded about who she dates. But, in the end, she always ends up falling for musicians —her weakness. And THANK GOD FOR THAT, because that’s how she met Jake—retired rock legend now music producer. After five years away from the stage Jake has decided to sing in front of an audience without all the messy lifestyle of a rockstar. And that happened in Addie’s restaurant where he’d be singing and playing his guitar on the weekends just for the love of music. Before it’s all over, he’ll feel more than just the thrill of being on stage. He will also find the love of his life. And together they’ll find a way to overcome their insecurities and finally have what they deserve in one another.
This is the sweetest book I’ve ever read! Oh. My. God. I think I might need an appointment with the dentist after all this sweetness!! Addie and Jake’s story was sweet, sexy, funny and also sad. I laughed out loud with their crazy conversations, they were fun and sweet. Jake was confident in the best possible way. I loved how he joked about Addie being so into him, and how it all turned out to be truth. I also cried my eyes out with their insecurities. I felt their anguish in my heart, it was aching so damn much. And then I was falling in love with all the characters in this book, Addie’s and Jake’s friends were just perfect. That is how a friendship should be. They are supportive, and not afraid to tell their friends the good or the bad when it’s necessary. And of course, I will always enjoy a great #Bromance. Jake and Max’s friendship was awesome. I loved how they were with each other. I LOVED IT!!
Everyone knows I’m a sucker for audiobooks, and the moment I knew Sebastian York was narrating Listen To Me, I had to get it. I mean, it’s Sebastian York…THE AUDIOBOOK GOD! There are very few times that he disappoints me. Thank God this isn’t one of them. Sebastian York and Arielle DeLisle did a stellar performance with this audio. Their voices fit Addie and Jake’s personalities perfectly and the different inflexions they did for the secondary characters were all awesome. I recommend reading this book with the audiobook companion.
I enjoyed every minute and every word of this story, thanks to the amazing writing style of Kristen Proby and the outstanding performance of Sebastian York and Arielle DeLisle. I can’t wait to read the next book of the series, Close to You, I already love Cami and Landon, so I’m sure I’ll love their story too.

Lyrics
If I had never met you,
what would I be now?
I’d be incomplete and wasted,
a man who lived without
I would not have seen the sunrise Monday mornin’
And I would not have smelled your hair as the sun was risin’You take what’s broken,
touch it softly,
and make it better
You’re the stream of light
that keeps on pushing,
gently breaking through
Into the darkest roomAnd if I had never met you,
where would I be now?
I’d be searching, lost, and aimless,
not knowing when, or how
I’d be looking for my happy ending story
I’d be staring down the broken road before meYou take what’s broken,
touch it softly,
and make it better
You’re the stream of light
that keeps on pushing,
gently breaking through
Into the darkest roomYou came into my life and saved me
From my wicked self and gave me
A reason to believe that there might be a bigger plan
All my fingers ache to play you
Both my arms have got to hold you
We will make sweet music like this
Fender in my handsWhat if I had never met you, where would I be now?
