Norma Anders has always prided herself on her intelligence and determination. She climbed out of poverty, put herself through school and is now a chief financial advisor at Pierce Industries. She’s certainly a woman who won’t be topped. Not in business anyway.

But she’s pretty sure she’d like to be topped in the bedroom.

Unfortunately most men see independence and ambition in a woman and they run. Even her dominant boss, Hudson Pierce has turned down her advances, leaving her to fear that she will never find the lover she’s longing for.

Then the most unlikely candidate steps up. Boyd, her much-too-young and oh-so-hot assistant surprises her one night with bold suggestions and an authoritative demeanor he’s never shown her in the office.

It’s a bad idea…such a deliciously bad idea…but when Boyd takes the reins and leads her to sensual bliss she’s never known, the headstrong Norma can’t help but fall under his command.

Jenn’s Review: 5 + stars

five-stars

I have fallen so hard for this story!
It’s insanely amazing and smoking hot!

This is the story of Norma Anders, a very successful business woman in the world where men rule but she is holding her ground and making her name heard. She has been taking care of her brother and sister since they were children and has taken on a protective and caring role.

Now she needs someone to take care of her. Take care of her needs and satisfy her desires. No man has been able to keep up with her until now… Boyd Barett is the best assistant Norma have ever had. He knows her schedule, he knows her working assignments, but the work stuff are not the only thing Boyd knows about her. He seems to see  right through her and recognizing her deeply hidden desires even before she herself finds out what is it that she is craving, what she needs to be fully satisfied at and outside work.

Holy God and all his Saints!!!! This novella is so well written I want to burst out of satisfaction and happiness. Laurelin Paige is unable to write anything that will disappoint me. I love every single of her works and this one just found its rightful place on the throne.

At first I wasn’t sure if the story of Norma and Boyd would be interesting enough to keep up with all previous masterpieces Laurelin has written  and I was surprised to my core! The story is so completing to the Fixed Trilogy and I was reminded of how much I love each of its amazing characters and just how much I have missed them all. It was thrilling to open up the door and take a peek at how Boyd and Norma hit it off. Boyd is definitely worthy of being on the hottest book boyfriends list. God the things that man made me feel…. *wink wink*

This book made me feel passion, desire, lust, friendship, compassion and the most important thing LOVE! And that is exactly what I feel for piece of heaven created by its Goddess. Even before finishing the book I gave it 5+ stars as rating. I am recommending it 100% ! Read it and enjoy the ride people.

“Damn woman. I thought I’d worn you out earlier, but maybe you need another round to knock you out”

Angy’s Book Review: 3,5 stars

three-half-stars

Falling Under You was a good story to read. It was sexy and romantic and despite it being a short novella, it had an interesting plot. I was expecting this book since I finished reading the Found Duet, I wanted to know what was the background story of Norma & Boyd’s romance. And I was pleased with what I read.

Norma is Hudson’s right hand and just like it happened to me with Gwen, I kinda hated her when I read The Fixed Series. But she is also Gwen’s big sister, so when I read The Found Duet, I got to know her better and I ended up loving her. And Boyd is Norma’s super sexy and super young assistant. So if you read those series, you know Norma and Boyd have a secret affair, and that they’ve been together for a while, but the dynamics of their relationship is unknown to everyone. This novella reveals it all. The kink, the romance, the love, the friendship, the exchange of powers. Everything. And it is a good dynamic, it’s not so typical, since they are employer and employee, and she’s a very dominant woman in her life, but with Boyd she has the opportunity to be a very different person, one person she never thought she could be, have very difficulty to accept and at the end, loved so much. Boyd had a lot to do with the process Norma went through and of course, it wasn’t easy for him either.

All in all, Falling Under You was a very sexy and lovely novella. I’m passing through a phase in my taste for books that when there is so much sex, I feel like skipping pages and sadly that happened to me when I was reading Falling Under You. Don’t get me wrong, the sex, the kink and their relationship was super hot and all, but… to me, it felt it oversexed. But, Hey! Maybe that is what you are expecting in this novella! So, go read it and tell me what you think about it.
