6. PRICELESS STARS!
Okay i know bragging sometimes is not cool but since is my first time i will brag. I had the honor to beta read for Linda whom i adore so much and even a greater honor to beta read for one of my favorite series of all freaking time.
I can’t believe is book 8 already. There is something so beautiful and overwhelming when you love a series so much that by book 8 reading about characters years later (in the book) makes you want to cry. I think i cried through all the book seriously, i cried and cried and it was so much you’ll think i was reading a sad story with an even sadder ending but no, i was just overwhelmed.
I love best friends to lovers and through the series we get the hint that Brandt and Sarah were going to be the best friends to lovers kind. Let me get this out of the way: EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ THIS BOOK! Is so much more than just a story about two best friends that fall in love. Is story about survival, about overcoming fears, about hardships and Linda has a way to create characters that feel so real you can’t help to wonder if in our society we’ll ever find people like them. And you know what, i think we could.
I don’t want to give too much away which upsets me because i want to gush and gush about how awesome this book and the characters are. Okay, Sarah our heroine is disabled, not disabled enough to not do regular things. She could have a relationship, she had SEX. She could live normally, she just needed to do some adjustments, but sadly people in general, men didn’t treat her that way so she was eager to learn how having a close encounter with men would feel. It is unfair that disabled people today have to clarify that just because they are disabled does not mean they can’t live a normal life. An aspect that Linda writes about so well. Sarah was strong and bold. She didn’t give up. She was smart, often insecure but Brandt helped her overcome that. I’m in awe, i’m sure there a lot of woman like her today.
Brandt had an ugly childhood and bad memories that followed him. Brandt and Sarah’s friendship was strong enough for her to push him, put him out of his comfort zone to help him work through his issues. It was so beautiful and moving. I CALL DIBS! I call dibs on all the Gambles! Once Brandt worked trough all his issues and fell into bed… IT WAS SO HOT! i took more than one cold shower.
Priceless captured perfectly the best friends to lovers romance and it was so much more. Linda Kage wrote a story impossible to forget, one that will captivate you page by page. When i finished reading it my heart was bursting at the seams with the love i felt for this book, for this story and for this characters. This is the book. The book everyone MUST READ this year. Drop everything and read it, is a standalone! If you are new to Linda Kage Forbidden Series then is fine start here but trust me by the end you’ll be picking up book one.
Priceless is beautifully written, hot and moving! I thought i couldn’t love this series enough, but book 8 prove me wrong, this series doesn’t have my heart, Forbidden Series is MY HEART.
