It took me years to find the courage to speak to Luka. He seemed exactly like me. Intelligent. Focused. Serious.

But he’s not the man I imagined.

His reality is cruel and dark. He traps me in his web, his power twisting tighter the more I struggle, until it’s hopeless. I can’t break free.

As he drags me unwillingly into his filthy world, I can’t ignore the terrifying idea circling my mind. What if I belong here with him?

Book Review: 5+ stars

Intimidating, captivating, thrilling and hot as hell!

Addison has wanted Luka for years and her secret crush on him has made her believe he is this amazing, wonderful prince charming on the white horse. Years later their paths cross again at a party they both attended. Luka is the one who approaches her and Addison is completely shocked and stunned that this desirable and unreachable guy has noticed her out of all other girls there who were more up to his standards. They spend time together and their chemistry and attraction is so strong it’s impossible to ignore it even for a second more. Kisses, touches are exchanged and things are getting out of Addison’s control. Drama is lurking around the corner. You could think this is a long awaited love story coming true but after a while you realize the cruelty and darkness that are hiding in the shadows.

Can Addison escape her new found reality and more importantly does she even wants to?
Did she made a mistake of trusting Luka with her heart all these years? Will he break her into pieces or will he build her to be stronger she ever could’ve imagined?

So this is the book everyone has been talking about for a while now. I have wanted to read it even before all this drama came to life and I got this book as a gift from my dear friend Angelica and we decided to buddy read it together with another dear friend of ours Carolin *love you girls*. So we agreed to read 1 chapter per day and they were good girls and followed our agreement while I was so impatient and restless and couldn’t stop turning the pages! They were so understanding and loving friends to let me off the hook and go ahead and read it in my own pace. I simply wasn’t able to control myself and stop when the chapter ended. My need and craving for more and more were stronger than my determination.

I was completely captivated and spellbound by this story and how the events kept unraveling and my jaw was on the floor uncountable times. There was this one scene that fired up both emotional and even physical pain within me and made me question if I really wanted to continue reading?! The heartache was about to consume me but thankfully I kept going and couldn’t be happier.

This is a dark book with sexy and hot scenes to take your breath away and enough mystery to keep you wondering and guessing until the very last page. I was having troubles figuring Luka and his intentions out the whole time. One minute I loved him and in the next one I hated him. But overall I ended up not liking but LOVING this story and their characters.  OK fine maybe not ALL of them, some of the characters I was willing to jump in the book and strangle with my own two hands.

This book has been “classified” as a too dark and too hot book for readers to handle and even BANNED from the major selling place where millions and millions of people get their books from.

I personally can’t see the connection they are referring to at all! Sure it had its dark  and though moments  that could be up for debate but I have read far darker and more unconventional books than this and they are apparently good enough to be on their website.

This was a pure bad decision from their part where they even tried to influence the author to change her hard work into something more “approachable”. I am so glad and happy Nikki Sloane stood her ground and decided to go with her vision and publish the book like she created it to be. I liked how she wrote this story and it was so easy to connect with it and eventually love it as well.

Everyone is not into these kind of stories and that is ok but I will definitely recommend this great book further on and wish the  author only the best of successes for it because she has been brave enough to step outside the box and deliver something new, exciting and thrilling to today’s readers.

I will keep recommending this amazing book to everyone I know! I love it! Thank you Nikki Sloane!
