I think this woman may be the death of me. A dire prediction, but probably true.
Probably true because she’s not mine to have and I’ll probably take her, even at the risk to my own safety. So many men slobbering to get a taste of her and only one, sweet, virginal girl to go around.
That’s right.
She’s a virgin.
Looking like a porcelain china doll that would break if not handled carefully. But I also know she’s stronger than she looks.
She’s a contradiction.
She’s most likely my downfall.
Like I said, she’ll probably be the death of me, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take.

**Warning: this book has sex in it. Lots of sex. Dirty sex. The Wicked Horse Series is a bit different than what Sawyer Bennett normally writes. While you’ll still enjoy fabulous characters, a suspenseful story, some witty banter and an epic romance, there’s just… a lot of sex. You’ve been warned.

What a wickedly sexy ride! Once again, Sawyer Bennett delivers a scorching hot addition to the WICKED HORSE series, which has all the same signature characteristics as the previous book in the series…erotica, kink, and the right dose of romance to keep us readers craving more. Speaking of craving more, Bennett teases us in the epilogue with a little of the next book in the series, BRIDGER’S BOOK!!! You heard me correctly…we FINALLY get to read Bridger’s story! *happy dance* If you read the previous books in the series, I’m sure you (much like I) have been patiently (not so patiently) waiting for his book since WICKED FALL (book #1) in this series! The wait is over!! Come September, we’ll have our hands on Bridger *ahem* I mean, Bridger’s story in hand. *wink*.

Ok, so back to WICKED RIDE…

For me, WICKED RIDE was about loving someone regardless of their faults and despite them. We first got a glimpse into character Logan McKay in WICKED LUST (*ahem* infamous five-some scene) and then again in WICKED NEED (*ahem* infamous threesome scene)*fans self* If you read those books, you know EXACTLY what scenes I am referring to. Sawyer Bennett did an outstanding job of piquing our curiosity with his character. What is his backstory and what brought him to “The Wicked Horse/The Silo”? Everyone has a reason for seeking out “The Silo”. “I know you’re here for a reason. I know something from drove you to Wyoming and The Silo and that you get something from all this. I suspect it lets you exist as best you know how. But you can’t find happiness in this place. Not for the long haul anyway.” –Bridger. Oh Bridger, ever the insightful one. Now Auralie was a new character to the series. She was vaguely introduced in WICKED NEED and yet again, we were given enough details to make us readers wonder what brought her to “The Silo” as well. Well, all of our questions are answered in WICKED RIDE.

WICKED RIDE is about…

A man running from his past.
Living life one day at a time.
Using “The Silo” (and all of its debauchery) as a coping mechanism.
Not looking for love.

A woman desperate to create a better future.
Forced to do one last con to ensure that future.
Using “The Silo” to her advantage.
Not looking for love.

Their lives collide in the most unconventional of ways and with this unspoken language between the two, they somehow find the potential for love. Will they both be able to overcome their own personal obstacles in order to find true love or will they sabotage that potential and go their separate ways?

I loved reading about the “wicked ride” these two characters had to take to get to their HEA. Both Logan and Auralie are stubborn to a fault and because of that, they created their own personal obstacles along the way. Reading about these two shedding their protective layers was awe-inspiring and reminded me that sometimes we are our own biggest competitor. Sometimes you have learn to forgive yourself before you can let others in and move on. “You can’t outrun your demons,” Bridger says meaningfully, completely at ease in giving me advice I don’t want or need. “You can’t outrun them because they’re inside you, not behind you. Until you confront that sh*t, you’ll never lose them.” –Bridger. No truer words!

Overall, I was satisfied with where Sawyer Bennett took Logan & Auralie’s story. I think it was the perfect addition to this series. You’ll definitely want to take this “wicked ride” and read this book (and series)! You won’t be disappointed!
