I typically don’t read books that are this short. First off, because I love to be drawn into the story and from previous experience, I need pages upon pages to fulfill that quota successfully. Secondly, because if I end up loving the book, I always end up craving more. Well…HITCHED threw my first reasoning right out the window! I didn’t need pages upon pages to fall in love with the characters and their story, I just needed an author like Kendall Ryan to create a series like this! Now, I’m craving more of this series! I want more of Noah! I need more of Kendall Ryan’s writing!
HITCHED is a sexy and sweet story, packed with some entertaining banter between two lovely characters, who are forced to get married in order to keep their company in the family.
Noah Tate & Olivia Cane grew up together. Their father’s created a business together and they always wanted their children to get married. More importantly, to continue to run their family business together. To accomplish this, Noah’s father stipulates in his will that in order for Noah to inherit the company, he must marry Olivia.
Olivia loves her job and life. She grew up in her dad’s office at “Tate & Cane” and now she works there. She’s just learned that she has to marry Noah, so the business will stay in the family. She always wanted the dream wedding and her perfect man, but now she’s faced with a predicament that can change her life forever. She has to choose between falling in love in the old fashion way or to lose her father’s company and lose all she has worked hard for.
The chemistry between Noah and Olivia is more than palpable! I loved the playful banter and the sexual tension throughout the book. Olivia is feisty and a smart mouth. Noah loves challenges and he doesn’t take NO for an answer. These two are an entertaining combination.
In the end, I wasn’t able to give it 5 stars because even though it met my expectations (and then some), I just couldn’t get over the fact that it was so short, just a personal preference. But even with that, I would highly recommend it! I believe you’ll love this mix between sweetness and sexiness. Noah is definitely book boyfriend material.
