Bounty hunter Jake Harlowe knows how to track a criminal. So when a group of swindled shareholders hires him to trail their former CEO, Jake expects a quick trip to the Cayman Islands to close another case. Until a devastatingly beautiful woman gets in the way.

Steph Anderson is visiting the Caymans for a rock climbing and dive trip—or so she tells Jake. She’s really trying to find out whether or not her stepfather embezzled money from his company. The last thing Steph needs is the distraction of a sexy, charming man whose kisses drive her wild.

Soon, the pair discover they’re after the same target—and millions in jewels. While Jake can’t be certain Steph isn’t working for her stepfather, and Steph can’t be certain Jake isn’t after the diamonds for himself, they can agree the heat between them is intense, and neither can deny the passion for long.

But the morning after, Steph discovers that she just might have slept with the enemy, and now she’ll have to outwit him to get everything she needs…

Audiobook Book Review: 5+ Stars

“Hunting diamonds in the caribbean”

What made the experience of listening to The Sapphire Affair the most enjoyable?

Everything! From the story to Sebastian’s narration! Everything was perfect. The Sapphire Affair is the kind of books that kept me interested from beginning to end. The mystery, the romance, the growing sexual tension, the characters… Everything was awesome. The dual POV made it more easy to connect with both characters and the story itself, to understand their motivations to go after Eli and to crave the next book after the surprising cliffhanger.

What did you like best about this story?

Jake and Steph relationship. What started as a fun interaction with some innuendos and sexy promises, ended up being something awesome full of mystery, investigations and the best romance all in #BlakelyStyle.

What does Sebastian York bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Sebastian York is always the god of narrations. His voice, inflexions, tones… everything fitted perfectly with the story. I loved his voice for Jake, it was strong and male and when he was talking for Steph, it sounded more delicate and smooth. I loved the moments when Steph and Jake were joking to each other, and of course Sebastian is a pro with the sex scenes and the dirty talking.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed out loud so many times while reading The Sapphire Affair and later when i was listening to the audio, I laughed even more. The story is full of mystery and suspense, but the characters had a sense oh humor that was unique, but also very characteristic in Lauren Blakely’s characters.

Any additional comments?

I loved the book and I loved the audio even more. Sebastian York + Lauren Blakely = Highes Level of Happiness for me!! 200% recommended.

Jake is hungry for more of Steph, but he can sense her growing mistrust, which only fuels his own doubts. Worse, there’s undeniable evidence that someone else is now after the jewels—and that they are both in real danger.
