One word.

It was all he had to do. Instead, he got on that bus and took my heart with him.

That was seventeen years ago.

I moved on. Marriage. Kids. White picket fence. Everything I ever wanted, but my husband betrayed me and I was left once again.

Alone, penniless, and with two boys, I had no choice but to return to Tennessee. He wasn’t supposed to be there. I should’ve been safe. However, fate has a way of stepping in.

This time around, the tables are turned. It’s my decision. Second chances do exist, but I don’t know if we can repair what’s already been broken . . .

Book Review: 5+ Stars

Purity, love, devotion, friendship and loyalty!

A story so pure and moving that your heart will feel every tear, every heartbreak, every laughter, every smile, EVERYTHING!

The internet went crazy about this book once it was released. Readers were writing all these amazing things and I just had to abandon everything else and start this book instead and once I did that was IT, couldn’t put it down.  The story is so strong and real that it’s impossible to not get dragged into it from the first few pages and capture your heart.

I was broken even before chapter 1 began. These lines below blew me away and my heart was shattered. It hit a very personal and close spot within me.

“To the love that let me go so I could find the one worth holding on to.
And to my father, who showed me the kind of man I don’t want in my life.”

My heart was breaking, tears consumed me and I was wondering how this would end and how much of a sanity I would have left by the end of the book. My husband was awoken by my sobs two nights in a row and didn’t understand how a book could do that to me but he still held my hand through my emotional journey.

I can’t express enough love for this beyond amazing story that is without a doubt one of the best romance/love/family books I have read! Every single review is on point for this one and it truly belongs at the very top.

When I read a book one of the most important thing for me is that I want to feel. I want the story to move me, to make me remember that story even months, years later and this one definitely did all that and more. They say a picture speaks louder than a 1000 words, well I would disagree with that. Every single word and line in this book had me picturing the place, the situation, the emotions of the story and its characters.  I could picture myself on those fields with horses around me, at the small town shops, at the infamous bar and every other location. I am no cowgirl and am even allergic to horses but for those Hennington boys I would endure it all 🙂

This is not my first rodeo with Corinne Michaels and I am a devoted fan of her Salvation Series. The way she writes her stories feels so honest and real, and very easy to connect with the characters. It’s also very visible how much work and thought she puts into every single one of her books and I appreciate that quality comes before quantity. I am adding this book as my favorite one so far and to beat Consolation Duet that speaks volumes.

But the whole story of transformation from broken and alone souls to strong and more determined ones did something to me. I loved to see how Presley was dealing with what life threw at her and her journey to rediscovering herself and her forgotten wishes and needs. To get to know Zachary who is perfect book boyfriend material and will be remembered as one of my favorite ones. All other side characters were wonderful as well and made cry, laugh, smile and wish I was one of them.

If you haven’t read this book…you should drop everything and get on with it.

“Presley Benson, say you’ll stay. I’ll stay with you forever.”

“I want you to make love to me Zachary.
I want you to give me tonight.
His head rest against mine.
I’ll give you every night”

“I know every part of you, love every part of you.”
