Two weeks before her wedding, Remi Montague’s fiancé drops her faster than a drunken sorority girl in stilettos. Armed with her best friend and a bottle of tequila, she hops a plane to London to drown her sorrows before fall semester begins at Whitman University.

She didn't plan on attending a masquerade party.

She sure didn’t plan on waking up next to the British bad boy who broke her heart three years ago—the devastatingly handsome and naked Dax Blay. Furthermore, she has no clue how they acquired matching tattoos.

Once back at Whitman together, they endeavor to pretend they never had their night of unbridled passion in London.

But that’s damn hard to do when you live in the same house…

One night. Two damaged hearts. The passion of a lifetime.

I love Brit guys! There is just something so sexy about them…maybe it’s the accent? *wink* So when I knew about Dax’s story, I wanted to read it STAT!

Ilsa Madden-Mills, gifts us with her British twins. DIRTY ENGLISH was the first book of the series and in that book, we met twins Declan and Blay. DIRTY ENGLISH was Declan’s book and now we get Dax’s story in FILTHY ENGLISH.

I love that in both books we got a “book within a book”. I’ll explain, in DIRTY ENGLISH, the story was inspired by the PRIDE AND PREJUDICE and now FILTHY ENGLISH is inspired by ROMEO AND JULIET.

This is a “second chance” story. Dax Blay and Remi Montague have a history. A few years ago, when Dax was a sophomore and Remi was in her freshman year in college, they had the most unforgettable three days. They spent 72 hours in bed, only coming up for air to eat. But it didn’t end well, so Remi walked out of Dax’s life.

Now fate wants them back together.  They bump into each other, well Remi literally falls into Dax’s lap. Remi was in London for her honeymoon, but without the groom, he asked for a break two weeks before the wedding. Since the plane tickets are non refundable, she went to London with her BFF Lulu. She was at a masquerade drinking all the tequila she can bear when the hottest guy with a mask sits next to her.

Dax, who lives in America, was in London taking care of his cousin. He didn’t know that the hot girl with the mask who was sitting next to him was his Remi, the “one who got away”. The chemistry between them is undeniable. Remi wants to forget all of her troubles and have a wild night, so she decided to throw her cares to the wind and have some fun with this mystery guy. Once they kissed, Dax immediately knew she was his Remi, but when Remi found out that the hot guy was Dax, her first love and the one who broke her heart, it didn’t end well.

Like I said, this story is about “second chances”. Dax and Remy made bad decisions because they were young and naive and now they have to fight for their love they thought they lost. Both are broken hearted and they need to heal first in order to have the love they both deserve.

This is a lovely read with some angst and frustration, but the end is worth it! What a better way to spend summer than with this hot British man that will make you fall in love with him from page one.
