I’m sorry Nolan, but Jared just stole me from you.
And how could he not when he was Just. Irresistibly. Perfect. From the first moment I got to know him better, I knew that this guy would be the something else. And Stina didn’t disappoint on that matter. She created a guy whose heart was so damn big that the whole Earth could fit comfortably in there. He may not wore his feelings on his sleeve but his actions covered that and then some. He knows what matters the most and busted his ass off for the people that he fiercely love. Because that’s the only way to describe it. And if he wasn’t enough, all his band mates are like that even if I have met only Nolan. But these things can be told from afar.
And for those who haven’t read the summary, this book – the second in the Pushing Limits series – it’s the story how Jared not only discovered he was a dad bit also how he found the love of his life in the eyes of the woman who dedicated her life raising alone his son, Logan.
And speaking of that woman, my words aren’t enough to describe the strength that Callie Talbert has in her. Although the book, she had me so impressed and inspired. Her loyalty and the unconditional love she showed to Logan and then to Jared were beyond heart warming. And she have sacrificed a lot of her life to raise him, but she never regretted and knew how much he was worth it since Logan was more than a unique creature. You see, he got completely deaf after being in a deadly accident when he was one and from that point, he went through some pretty heart breaking problems but being the strong and wonderful little man he was, he beat them to the ground. And I was a goner for him before even he made his adorable appearance and put a permanent smile on my face every time I encountered his sparkly personality
As for the way he and Logan bonded? Well, I think referring to me as a “enormous puddle of drool on the floor” would be quite accurate along with the addition of “my ovaries just exploded“. Seriously, I was so sad that our Book Daddies posts happened long before he came out. Because he undoubtedly deserved a place among the ones we had picked. He is the ultimate daddy!
You know that feeling you get when you get to the point when the book title becomes a scene in the book? Priceless, huh? Well, in this case it more than priceless since the reason the book was titled My Song For You was more than beautiful. You will see what I mean when you read that part. Just keep my words in mind when you do. For those have already, you know what I mean! I wish I could say more about it but I doubt that I will be able to stop from saying something spoiling. So I will shut up about that now!
Stina Lindendlatt has a skill to write heroes with some depth like few can. She may add quite some anguish moments in their way but she always makes them come out of them changed and stronger. Both her stories I have read swept me away with their intensity, passion and sweet love stories. And let’s not get me started on the BBFs and how hot and amazing are! I really can’t wait to see what she will put in the next Pushing Limits guy who will get under her microscope and my love
