THE NEW NOVEL FROM THE #1 BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF THE THIS MAN TRILOGY AND ONE NIGHT TRILOGY!

People think they have Camille Logan nailed: daddy's girl; beautiful, spoiled young woman with her father's bank balance to fund her lifestyle. But Camille is determined to have a life free from his strings. Out on her own, she's made mistakes, including one that found her clawing her way back after a stint in rehab and plenty of bad press. Now, after fighting so hard to be independent and happy, she finds her life threatened as a result of her father's ruthless business dealings. Caught between resentment and fear, Camille prepares herself for the measures her father will take to protect her. But nothing could prepare her for the ex-SAS sniper who crashes into her life.

Jake Sharp resides in his own personal hell. He was distracted from duty once before, and the consequences were devastating--both personally and professionally. He vowed never to let that happen again. Accepting the job of bodyguard to Camille Logan isn't the kind of distraction from his demons he should take. Women and Jake don't mix well, yet protecting the heiress seems the lesser of two evils. But Jake soon discovers that she isn't the woman she's perceived to be. She's warm, compassionate, her presence settling, and his duty to protect her soon goes deeper than a well-paid job, no matter how hard he fights it. He needs absolution. He comes to need Camille. But he knows he can't have both.

Claudia’s Review: 10 Stars

You know that feeling when one of your favorite authors is releasing a new book and you know you will enjoy the reading, that you will be transported to another world that you don’t want to leave anytime soon. That you will start reading it in small doses because you don’t want to leave this world where you witness the pure love between these two characters that immediately become your favorite ones. Well Jodi Ellen Malpas gives me that feeling with her books. She has the ability to gift us with these amazing characters that stay in our hearts forever. First with Jesse Ward (THIS MAN Trilogy), she showed us how women must be loved. Then with Miller Hart (ONE NIGHT Trilogy), she showed us how women must be worshipped. And now with Jake Sharp, she showed us how women must be loved, worshipped and PROTECTED.

Jake Sharp is an ex military, ex-SAS sniper who has lived through hell (is still living through it) and now he works as a bodyguard. He is the best of best, so when he was hired to protect Camille Logan, the daughter of one of the richest and powerful men (her dad pissed someone off and now she needs protection) he took his job very serious. At first, Jake didn’t want to take the job.  He didn’t need a spoiled “daddy’s girl” in this moment of his life, but the payment was too much to resist, so he took the job.

Camille Logan is an independent, determined and strong woman. Despite coming from a rich and powerful family, she lives on her own and tries to avoid her father’s money. She has made some mistakes in the past, but now she wants to fly by her own, having her own clothing design company without the shadow of her dad.

The number one rule when you protect someone is to “not get involved with that someone”. Jake knows it, but he can’t help having these feelings for Camille. He knows she deserves a better man but he can’t live without her. He is too selfish to let her go. He needs her to calm his demons. She is not a task/job anymore, he has to protect her because he can’t live without her.

Camille has never known a man like Jake. He’s the only one who TRULY sees her. She can’t deny her feelings for him. She knows he is in pain and she knows he’s hiding something. She wants to save him from that pain.

Both of them will have to fight for this love. Fight against the threat, against Camille’s dad, against Jake’s past.

THE PROTECTOR is a standalone *insert tears here* For me it was not enough…I need more of Jake and Cami! Their story was so lovely. Jodi did give us the perfect end though. If you’re a fan of Jodi’s books, you will LOVE this book as much as I did! And if you’re a newbie of her books, you will LOVE her immediately as much as I love her.

Ralou’s Review: 10 “My Angel” stars

“Everything that I have is yours.”

Once again Jodi Ellen Malpas, aka JEM, proved her place in the world’s TOP CONTEMPORARY AUTHORS list. And really no one can deny her that since each book, each phenomenal BBF, each heart-gripping story she writes makes her deserve even and even more. She started with the one and only Lord of The Manor, Jesse Ward who his unreal love for Ava and his countdowns made every female reader out there to convulse in pleasure. Then, she continued with the mysterious Miller Hart who gave new meaning in the OCD and made us swooning under his unique & powerful love for his Olivia. And now, she comes to offer us the absolute guardian for body, heart and soul, Jake Sharp, The Protector.

I swear he’s give Prince Charming a run for his money.

The love story begins when Jake is hired by one of the wealthiest men in London, Trevor Logan, to protect his daughter, Camille, from a threat against her life. And the moment he barges into her life, both start going down the road of becoming each other’s life which is bumpy at its extreme. And I mean THE extreme extreme. But what they share is much more powerful than any obstacle and tragedy life has thrown and keeps throwing in their way to the happiness. And that’s an area JEM’s heroes are masters in! From the very first moment Jake meets Cami, he quickly realizes that this girl is determined to turn everything that made him who he was with her personality on its head. And, really, he couldn’t be more happy about it. Plus, if you add his primal instinct to protect her, not as his job’s subject, but as his girl, the woman who owns him, then you get a connection that goes deeper than the abyss. Who can deny the beauty of that?

My need to protect this woman isn’t duty. It’s instinct.

Every single character in this story is a fully developed human being on-paper and without any of them, this book wouldn’t be the gem that it is. Every one of them has his purpose and his important involvement in everything that goes down during these 444 pages, either s/he is of the good guys or not. The story was like it was pouring along its people off each page right into me shocking my whole organic system up. And that’s my dear people is when I know have found one of the TOP books! The passion, the heartbreak, the tenderness, the hate, the love, the secrets etc are weaving through and out of each other like water, combining both its smooth flow and its wild nature.

No Cami, no me.

Jodi Ellen Malpas is undoubtedly one of my FAVE authors and her stories has given me moments that I will cherish forever. And, of course, BBFs that I will always came back to for the necessary fixes since once you meet them, they become an essential part of your life. Her writing is really the something else and nail you in the heart without a second thought. Whoever hasn’t read her yet WTH are you waiting for? The love that you will feel the moment you dive into her incredible world and mind is guaranteed and instant. Her books always are a sure recommendation because they are not something you want to miss reading. 😉
