ONE LITTLE LIE. A WHOLE LOTTA TROUBLE.

Moments after meeting the most gorgeous guy ever, Gabby Winters promptly gets stung by a zillion yellowjackets and falls-not gracefully-into a stream. Yup, Ethan Hunter is trouble with a capital "hot," and Gabby definitely needs to keep her distance. Except in the small town of Haven, there's nowhere to hide from Ethan's sexy, infectious grin . . . and all the residents are conspiring against her.

At the center of the town's matchmaking is Ethan's grandmother, who's convinced their relationship is a done deal. Rather than break her heart, Gabby and Ethan find themselves cornered into pretending to be falling in love. The problem: there's serious sizzling attraction between them. And if this charade continues, they won't fool just the entire town - they might fool themselves too . . .

This is my first book from Rachel Lacey and I really enjoyed it! The storyline is very well written. The plot is very interesting and it is very lovely with sweet, heartwarming and sad moments that definitely will steal your heart. It’s about “second chances”, to fulfill your dreams and despite the adversity you have to never give up and move forward.

Gabby Winters moved to a small town called Haven. She’s escaping from a bad relationship and she wants to move on, heal her soul and to prove to herself that she doesn’t need a man to live her life.

Ethan Hunter has a dark past that haunts  him. He can’t have a normal relationship, so he goes for casual, when things get serious with a woman, he leaves. He’s so interesting in Gabby, but he knows he will break her heart because she is not the casual kind of girl, she’s a keeper and forever of girl. His current circumstances have him offering an agreement to Gabby- pretend they are dating. This is so his grandmother can die knowing his grandson has a woman that loves him and will take care of him.

Since the very first moment they met,  the attraction was undeniable, but Gabby doesn’t want to be in a relationship right now. But she can’t deny that Ethan makes her have feelings she didn’t even know she was capable of feeling. She knows this agreement is temporarily and she’s afraid once it’s over Ethan will leave her with a broken heart.

This is the first book of a series, it can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend to read this lovely story. You will witness how these two characters help each other to heal their broken souls. Can’t wait to read more about this series.
