Lucy Burchett is the heiress to a notoriously disastrous family, and she's left home for good. But when she runs a big, black pickup off the road, totaling it, she finds herself stuck in the middle of nowhere with the driver. He's got a body to die for and a hair-trigger temper. Vince Russo looks like a felon, but he's also pretty funny. He’s on the lam from the cops… and a psychopathic, Russian mob boss who wants to put his balls on a barbeque. Literally.

After a night of ill-advised cocktails and bathroom-wrecking sex, Vince just can't get Lucy off his mind. But he's got plans to rob her. And Lucy’s life is about to get a little bit criminal too.

But can a bad boy and a good girl really escape from their troubles together? Can they trust each other at all?

In the steady march of disasters that follow them west, they fight and they laugh. They tease and they’re tender. They’re either oil and water, or chocolate and peanut butter.

Except, they can’t run from the real world forever. And there’s a hell of a surprise in store for both of them…

To the reader: Confessed is a standalone featuring Lucy, who readers met as the best friend in Professed. Both are standalones and do not need to be read together. Be advised, things get super dirty in this book. The sex is explicit, and the language is rude. It’s an erotic love story with fury. Other tasters’ notes: Bobby pins. Peculiar motels. Horses. Motorcycles. Aiding and abetting. Great Smoky Mountains. New Mexico.

Book Review: 5 stars

Two completely different worlds collide and what an explosion it is!!!

Lucy Burchett is a smart and beautiful girl freshly out of Yale and her life was just about to begin when everything she knew of started falling down like a house of cards. The grand scandal around her family and their business had the rich heiress on a run from her life and in a search for something more common and simple. What she never could have guessed that her driving “skills” would lead her to a dangerously captivating Vince Russo who is on a run of his own. They say that the opposites attracts but can they move beyond that attraction?

I am so happy that this author and her work have been brought to my attention because otherwise I would have missed out on this and that my friends would have been such a shame. Nicola Rendell is a new author to me and this is my first book by her and I was not disappointed. There are a few requirements what makes a good read and for me the most important isn’t just to love the plot, to connect with the characters, to have my emotions moved but what’s at the very top of my list is that a book holds my interest through the whole journey. It can be positive or negative I don’t care as long as it keeps me turning the pages. And this story hit the jackpot of my checklist!!!

“I used to be dangerous.
Now I’m just…Yours”

I have heard so much about it and build up expectations in advance and that scared me a little bit to be honest. What is I don’t like it like all those other readers? But as I got sucked into the story for each page I read my mind relaxed and gave in for the ride and enjoyed it tremendously.

On paper Lucy and Vince are so wrong for each other but in reality they make a wonderful hot sexy couple who care for one another and slowly but surely fall in lust and love. These two have so much chemistry between them that 100 labs combined couldn’t beat that! Their hot and passionate scenes aren’t just plain dirty and naughty there is so much more to it. The “BAR SCENE” was my favorite until the “CONTROL SWAP” happened and I was SOLD! When you read the book you will know exactly what I mean *wink wink*

“All my air is yours…everything is yours.”

You can easily get that insta-love feeling over this story but if I ever wanted to experience that in a book it would definitely be this one. But there is so much more to their relationship than just physical, they are growing together and Lucy is learning to stop acting like a spoiled little rich girl and face the music while Vince is becoming aware of himself on a different level and wanting to become a better man and not let his past define him and his future.

Overall I really and honestly liked this story and the way it was written was a pure joyride. It has dual POV and I always love that. I want to get to know each character from how they see things and experience situations.

This romantic hot story with comedian inputs will be highly recommended by me! Go people….enjoy yourselves 🙂
