One week. No future. No past. No more.
Alexandria Collins has one week to live carefree—no ghosts of her past or pressures of her future haunting her. Reinventing herself as "Charli," she is knocked off her feet by a sexy, mysterious man who brings her pleasure like she never imagined. With her heart at stake, she forgets that decisions made in the dark of night reappear in the bright light of day.

"Some of my tastes are unique. They aren’t for everyone. I understand that.”

Lennox "Nox" Demetri is wealthy, confident, and decisive—he knows what he wants. From the first time he sees Charli at an exclusive resort, he knows he wants her. Although he is usually the one to make the rules, together they agree on one:

One week. No more.

When betrayal comes from those closest to Alexandria, she must decide how far she is willing to go to survive. Choices are not always easy, especially when they involve the heart, body, and soul. After all, Infidelity is a business, and some rules are meant to be broken.

"Is it really cheating if you're doing it to yourself?"

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Aleatha Romig comes a sexy, new dominant hero who knows what he wants, and a strong-willed heroine who has plans of her own. With classic Aleatha Romig twists, turns, deceptions, and devotions, this new epic dark romance will have readers swooning one minute and screaming the next. Have you been Aleatha'd?

BETRAYAL is a full-length novel and the first of five in the INFIDELITY series.

Alexandria has just graduated from Standford and is charging full force towards achieving her dream of becoming a lawyer and Columbia Law School will do just that for her. She is tired of her entitled life as a rich heiress of her family fortune and all the pressure her mother and stepfather are putting on her shoulders. If she could have her pick she would just vanish and become someone completely different and live a life that doesn’t feels like a prison. She and her best friend take off for one week vacation and the girls decide to let it all go and be the opposite of who they are. There she meets this mystery man that has caught her interest and is consuming her body, mind and soul. They spend the week together more or less and when it’s time to part ways both of them feel more than they should…but reality doesn’t care about emotions and separation is inevitable.

This book/series have been on my TBR list since forever and today I finally decided to start this series because honestly I couldn’t handle listening to everyone about how great it was. I had to find out for myself what all the fuss was about and that is exactly what I did. This story has so many different directions it could take and it keeps the interest up and you invest your focus and time into it and almost look forward to the end just to find out which way it will end up on taking as the lead.

I feel so sorry for Charli aka Alexandria aka Alex and her life is one sad story to me. No money and prestige in the world could measure up to the loveless life she has grown up to. With a mother who  doesn’t seem to care about what should be her highest priority ( her daughter) and a stepfather who seems to be the biggest A-hole alive. No wonder she wants to distance herself from it all and escape to a normal life.

Nox was a huge enigma for me all up until his chapter came along. It gave us small pieces of who he really is and just how powerful and dangerous he can potentially be. I look forward to read more from his point of view.

It was a great read that has left me craving for more and I can’t wait to continue with this story and get some more answers to all the questions this cliffhanger has awaken.

 About the narrator:

Book is narrated by Samantha Prescott to 99% and she does the job well. I loved when she was channeling the anger and desperation emotions. She somehow got more fierce and powerful in those moments. Brian Pallino har only one chapter in this book but that is enough for me to crave more of him as Nox.
