It’s the end of summer. Just before I start senior year with my two best friends in the whole world. Dustin and Emily are everything to me. We’ve been inseparable since middle school, and when we’re together, nothing can go wrong.

But things aren’t always what they seem. Em’s turned into a drunken mess who parties too much. Dustin and I have hooked up a few times―and now he’s ready to take our relationship to the next level. Yet I’m not sure I want things to change. I’m scared if I take it any further with Dustin, our friendship will be ruined forever. Then there’s Ryan. The new guy. He’s hot. He flirts way too much. And Em has totally set her sights on him.

So when my best friend betrays me in the worst possible way, guess who’s there to help me pick up the pieces of my broken heart? Ryan. But he’s so confusing. Annoying. Sweet. Sexy. I want to trust him, yet he makes it so hard. What I really want is for everything to go back to the way it was before.

Before I found out that best friends make the worst kind of enemies.

Wow this book was a rollercoaster of emotions, just the way it has to be when we’re talking about teenage angst and drama. This book has the ability to transport you to a time when you were a teenager and feel all the insecurities, all the unsteadiness, all the drama that brings with being a teenager.

Olivia Hudson (aka Liv) has two best friends, Dustin and Emily, they were friends since forever. As her parents are divorced, she was forced to spent her summer break with her dad and leave her friends back at home. But in Liv’s absence, her so called best friends betray her. Now Liv is back in town and has to deal with their betrayal. She’s especially confused with what she wants now. Before she left she thought she wanted one thing and now she’s not so sure. She can’t forgive them, but she wants things to be exactly as they were before summer. With this new strain between their friendship, Liv starts distancing herself from the group. She feels that’s what’s best for now because they just can’t go back to the way they were. Now, there’s this HOT guy Ryan Bennett, who loves to flirt. He wants her the minute he sees her, but Liv is no sure about him, does he really want to be with her or be JUST FRIENDS?

You will love this book!  It is impossible to put it down. Sometimes you’ll want to throw the book or maybe punch some characters in the face. I had a love/hate relationship with the characters throughout the book. I loved the plot and how the author told us the story is very well written and it leaves you craving for more because this story will continue…Can’t wait for the sequel, I want it like NOW.
