Maybell Fairweather was the girl of my dreams.
Always smiling brightly, she kept going, despite the names her classmates called her behind her back.
She was full of curiosity and independence, the extent of which I could only be jealous of. Even though she had all odds stacked against her, she knew what she wanted from life and pursued it, no matter the cost. She was completely my opposite in every way.
Perfect, even though she couldn’t see it.
Perfect … until me.Because this is the story of how I ruined her.
Based on a true story. Standalone Romance. No cliffhanger.

Book Review: 4 stars
Another masterful story to capture your heart!
Maybell has not had an easy life but she never let it drag her down and she kept going strong and chase her dreams and live her life the best way possible. After losing a chance to be elected as a dancer in a competition that has been her goal for years she heads home and out of nowhere something or someone steps in front of her car and the next thing you know the crashing is inevitable. Alexander is a guy that always noticed Maybell ever since firts time he saw her at school. Now when he sees her again it’s impossible to turn away and just leave.
So this book is based on true events and that is always a perfect ingredient for a successful read in my mind. I was sucked into it from the author’s note at the beginning of the book and this was impossible to put down and was a straight on read for me. I must say that I was expecting a different kind of plot but was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. The book is written from dual POV and it shifts from past to present time and that is very important to the core of this story and to understand Maybell and Alexander better.
This is a story about two young people, about regular lives and the issues that so many struggle with. I was so effected about what characters went through and I really felt bad for them and wanted to intervene somehow and make their lives better. I knew something was to happen to shake my world and I kept waiting for the bomb to be dropped. Eventually as the story went along I figured out the crucial parts before they were revealed.
I can say that this was a sad but still beautiful story and I enjoyed it and loved how the author tackled it and made it into something that can hopefully inspire others to never quit. To keep going, keep fighting because each day is a new day to start over.
