Kate Meader’s blazing Hot in Chicago firefighter series has “everything you want in a romance” (RT Book Reviews, Top Pick)! The flames of desire burn out of control in this sexy third novel when ex-lovers unexpectedly reunite for a sizzling affair that will have the director yelling, “Quiet on the set!”

Actor Molly Cade, America’s fallen sweetheart, finally has her shot at a Hollywood comeback with a dramatic new role as a tough-as-nails firefighter that promises to propel her back to the big time and restore her self-respect.

Wyatt Fox, resident daredevil at Engine Co. 6, needs a low-key job to keep him busy while he recovers from his latest rescue stunt. Consulting on a local movie shoot should add just enough spark to his day. Especially when in struts Molly Cade: the woman who worked his heart over good, and then left him in the Windy City dust.

Their story is straight out of a script: irrepressible, spunky heroine meets taciturn, smoldering hero. But these two refuse to be typecast, and when the embers of an old love are stoked, someone is bound to get burned…

Book Review: 5 Million Stars

five-stars

First, there was the sexy latin boxer, Beck. Then, there was the sexy brute, Luke. The third one was the charming and golden, Gage. And then of course, there was the one and only sexy bastard, Eli. And now, I have a fifth perfect book boyfriend from the Dempsey family, Wyatt Fox, the dark, tall and brooding.

In Sparking The Fire, Wyatt had an accident during one rescue mission and he’s now in rehab, a long long rehab, so since he was going to be out of service for a couple of months, he was offered to be a firefighter consultant for a movie about a badass female firefighter—A.K.A. Alex Dempsey, read her story in Playing With Fire—of course he had no other choice but to take the job, not only to protect his sister’s story and privacy, but also because he knew the movie producer/actress, Molly Cade. Reconnecting with Molly and the current family Dempsey drama made the summer a life changing time for Wyatt, and reconnecting with Wyatt and her challenging career made the summer a even more changing time for Molly.

I love, love, LOOOOOVE everything, and I mean, EVERYTHING about this book. Wyatt was the sweetest, caring and most perfect of all the Dempsey—should I mention he’s sexy AF? *fan self*. BTW He’s mine!!—and to match him, there was the smart, funny and strong Molly, the only woman capable to open Wyatt’s heart. She wasn’t only perfect for him, but she also the best addition to the Dempsey family, she got perfectly along with all the members of the family, male and female, and that made things so much easier for Wyatt to open his heart completely to her. Of course, I also loved the plot in this book, the love story, the romance, the family drama—I’m dying to say more here but it’d be a huge spoiler, but this was my favorite part of all *cries*—, Molly’s career and scandalous past, and of course, the ending. The perfect ending for Wyatt & Molly’s HEA but…. This book was a huge bittersweet to me because this was also the end of the series. I was so happy to read how all of the Dempsey were doing, I literally can’t say which of their lives made me more happy, because I loved each and every one of them with all my heart. But I want more!! I’m going to beg Kate to write more about this amazing family, maybe a full length novel for Beck and Darcy, I need more cariño for this amazing couple, which in fact, was the story that made me love Kate’s writing like crazy.

All in all, perfect book, perfect ending for the series, perfect series and perfect everything. PERFECTION!!
