I’ve loved him as long as I can remember.

The gangly boy with big brown eyes and unruly hair who grew up into an intoxicating man. He wears scruff like he invented it and ambles with a swagger that makes panties drop.

Killian Shepard.

We grew up together. We played Ghost in the Graveyard. Had our own rock band. It didn’t matter that he was five years older than me. It didn’t matter that he looked at me as a kid sister even as I grew into a woman. It didn’t even matter when he left me behind to go to college and start his adult life.

He’d be back.

He was always meant to be mine.

He came back, all right. But instead of smelling of promises, he stunk of betrayal. And he destroyed me—us—the day he married my sister instead of me.

So I did the only thing a girl like me in my position could do.

I got my revenge.

I married his brother, Kael.

Now we’re one big happy fucking family.

Jenn’s Review: 10 beautiful stars

Beautiful, soul shattering story that will remain with you for a long time to come!

Once upon a time there was a girl and two great loves of her life. Maverick and Killian have loved each other since the beginning of time and after all the years of waiting for the right moment so they could finally be together and allow themselves to enjoy their love and let everyone else see this great love they have been hiding for all this time. The moment came…and the moment vanished as quickly as it came. Promises were broken. Betrayal changed places with trust. But love still remained.

Only now there was another man’s love that would try to fix what was broken and make everything heal. The only problem is that man turned out to be Kael none other than Killian’s brother .What is a woman to do caught between her past and her present? How will she move on towards her future?

“But I will never give up fighting for her. Ever.
Killian doesn’t know Mavs the way I do. He never will.
No. She’s mine. Period. He can’t have her.”

You know how we read and hear about these great loves that starts in our childhood and last a lifetime? Well I will be the first one to admit that I always thought that was pure BS, something to base romance novels on…all until this incredibly lovely story! This one turned me into a true believer!

While writing this review I literally just finished the book about an hour or so and my emotions are all over the place and will be like that for quite some time. The plot may not sound so new to many but for me it sparked something hidden deep down inside my soul and awaken that special feeling.

“I will never hurt her like Killian. Never.”

The triangle story’s are common but this one is one of a kind! Trust me on this one! You won’t be disappointed. The first situation EVER where I actually wanted BOTH guys to get the girl! They were so perfectly created and deserved their chance at happiness. But we all know that’s not how life works, there can always only be one winner.

“I want you Maverick. I’m in love with you.
I always have been and I want us to be together.
I want to marry you and move the fuck away from here and forget these insufferable years apart ever happened.”

In this case the author made the correct decision and the “right” guy got the girl but my soul is still hurting for the one that got left behind and I can hear him calling out and he probably has a story of his own to tell. I will be the first one to sign the petition to have him make a comeback with his search of HEA.

This is without a doubt one of the most beautifully, masterfully, powerfully written stories I have ever had the honor to read. It’s going straight to the top best books of the 2016 for me and maybe even TOP BEST EVER!    It belongs right side by side with all the angsty and romantic books that Colleen Hoover writes.

“Stay with me, Maverick.
Divorce him and be mine.
I don’t want one sordid night.
I don’t want to be a dirty secret.
I want forever. With you.”

It opened my eyes from the very first line I read and I was hooked till the very last one. The pace of the story is smooth and even and keeps your interest up through the whole read. And let’s not even get me started on these sensually, sexy scenes that robbed me of my breath each time. So well written with just right amount of hot, edgy and romantic moves *Sighing*

It’s filled with emotional heart break and pulling you back and forth between these two guys and just when you think you have it all figured out and under control BOOM! You think you know but you have NO IDEA! I knew there will be a twist and I kept waiting for it and once they started coming it was an unexpected explosion after another. But what really surprised me and my jaw was on the floor was the ultimate one and to find that pearl out you will have to read this amazing book. I never saw that coming!

” Follow your heart, and if that leads you back to me, know that I will spend every one of my days smothering you with love.
But if it leads to Killian…If it leads to him, then I know he will do the same.”

This was my first book by this to me new author K.L. Kreig and I am so happy to say that I might have found myself another favorite to count on. I believe there will be great things coming from her and I can’t wait to be here to read them. This would make such a great movie as well. Hollywood WAKE UP and get it done!

It’s utterly recommend you to read this book and experience this talent for yourselves. I gave it 10 stars because that is so well deserved and I wish I never had to end this book!

Caro’s Review: 4 Stars

“Black Swan Affair” was a strange book for me. Whereas on one side I could understand the characters wholeheartedly, on the other side I was in a permanent state of frustration about their actions and the consequences thereof. And I think in the end, it was the push and pull of my feelings that made me a bit numb to everything happening there. Most of all, the heroine made it hard for me to love the story. She was selfish and greedy in my opinion. Yes, these are treats all humans possess but sometimes, we have to make sacrifices too. Not only take but also give.

Now don’t get me wrong, I really liked this book. It just didn’t grip me as much as I had hoped after reading the blurb. The writing was amazing, the character growth was great. That was the factor that saved the whole story for me, I guess. The heroine really redeemed herself and I was soooo in love with this beautiful epilogue. But despite this book having a happy ending, there were still some lose endings, which I would like to see closure to one day. As you can guess from the blurb, this book is kind of a love-triangle and just how it usually works with those, 3 people are one too many. Maybe the author has mercy on us and will write a story for said person sometime in the future.

All in all, I rate this book with 4 stars and can definitely recommend it.
